How did Cadden benefit? The great thing about the MLS is they are required to publish salaries every year. Cadden is currently on $56,520 (about £42k). When players are loaned out, they generally don't get any extra money - just that the club taking the loanee pays a part of the salary. Oxford got half a season from him then, when they wanted to keep him, couldn't afford the fee Columbus were demanding. So Cadden is back at Columbus on a salary that can't be much more (if it is more) than he was on a Fir Park. If Cadden's manager/agent is on commission, he won't have much of a cut from the zero transfer fee, the (lack of, so far) development fee or a percentage of Cadden's salary. If this was a sophisticated sting, then sitting on the bench in Columbus in the middle of winter on a college kid's wages doesn't exactly make Mr Cadden a mastermind.

I know. Imagine being out of contract and needing a job - then having the temerity to take a job with the only employer that offered him one. What a sting. If the MLS are trying to pull a fast one with FIFA that must be Cadden's fault. In the meantime, people on here still fawn over Terry Butcher and don't bat an eyelid over the fact that he lied about going to Australia "for a holiday" in the middle of the season before mysteriously taking over at Sydney with 2 years left on his contract at Fir Park. Now *that* was a "sting". (I don't blame him for that, btw, any more than I blame Cadden for taking a job elsewhere). The season Cadden signed for Columbus was the first season the MLS participated in FIFA's development fee scheme. It's not Cadden's fault the MLS tried to pull a fast one with an attempt to categorize all their top tier teams in the lowest tier for compensation, and as far as I know, it's still something that is still being reviewed.

If all he continues to contribute is more assists, that will do for me.

Only once. When it was the old 4 step rule, and it was Stuart Rennie.
-
I think he just made up a new rule.

Delighted Watt is back scoring and even more delighted we scored from a set piece.

Am I just feeling the effects of my Christmas whisky or does the wide shot on the feed make it look like they've set up the cameras in Dens Park by mistake? Looks miles away. (Might be my browser, as I had to mess with its settings this morning to get it to work). EDIT: Get in!

The Scottish government gave football special permission to restart only if strict Covid protocols were followed. Maybe we should just let the Scottish Government shut down the 2 clubs for intentional breaches.

When the strikers aren't scoring the midfielders need to be chipping in. Hopefully one of those units will get us a couple of goals and the 3 points. I've got some sympathy for the set-piece takers as I've lost count of the chances Gallagher in particular has squandered the past few months. Mugabi and O'Hara have missed their share too. We also have a habit of loading up the back post and never putting anyone at the front. Apart from that, it's all good

Pretty sure we are going 4-4-2 because we lined up that way when we beat them 3 - 0 earlier in the season. O'Donnell was providing the width in that one.

Staying on the Adidas theme, the polo shirt that Celtic have this year would be a good candidate for claret & amber (apologies in advance for spoiling anyone's dinner).
-
Our best performance of the season was our 3 - 0 at Pittodrie. (Cap'n obvious) bottom line is if we don't score we won't win. Need one of our strikers to find some form, pronto.
-
We'll probably end up signing another 2 left backs. And then wait for the news they both picked up long term injuries during their first week of training.

Nice! 70's collar just deep enough to show off your gold medallion.

I'd rather he becomes Celtic best player as quickly as possible and earns a multi-million pound move to a different league.
-
He's on the record as recently as Friday saying he is planning to bring in new players, offload a few (and looking to extend O'Donnell's contract).
-
I feel like we got it the wrong way round. Are you not supposed to defend like this to keep it at 0 - 0 then score in the last minute?
-
I'm delighted we just won a half. I watched the Liverpool game before this one and had visions of a similar scoreline
-
I thought he was only a reserve because he fell out with the manager.
-
I've started checking my watch already.

"Sorry Nicola. It just disappeared from our bank account. I know, I know - you'd never think it would happen twice. Can I interest you in some CBD Vindaloo?"
-
If only the other common theme for the last 2 decades wasn't "they could field their U12 team with their best 3 players out and we'd still find a way to lose". One day, though.

St. Mirren doing a fine job of setting us up for an even bigger than normal rebound doing.

He obviously had some potential as he came up through the Feyenoord system for 7 years and then the Nike Academy before signing for Wolves. While fans love to think they know all about players, I'm pretty sure the coaches and clubs involved in his early development know more than me. It may well be that he doesn't fulfill that potential, but I doubt he's completely useless. Robinson likes speedy players because you can coach fast player to pass a ball, but you can't coach speed into ball players. It may not have worked out in this case, but I hope we stick to this approach as I enjoy seeing a speedy winger too.
