When Turnbull and Bigi are on form, we are lacking a striker with the same footballing brain to take advantage. Main and Bowman give us energy and power and link up play, but lack the nous of a Moult or a Higdon. It was no coincidence that Ciftci had his best game for us against Accies when Bigi and Turnbull were in the team. That is the type of player I was hoping we'd sign instead of Sammon - although I still have hopes that Johnson might give us that. Difficult to tell until he gets more minutes.

Turnbull and Bigi in the same team has added a level of creativity we have been sorely lacking - even if our strikers haven't been able to take advantage. I don't know if other opponents will afford us that luxury, but it's been fun to watch them this week. Not something you could say about many performances this season. Fair play to Robinson for taking that chance.

Well deserved 3 points. Only minor complaint is we should have scored more and made it more comfortable. Need our strikers to start taking their chances. 2 wins against 2 key rivals. Good stuff.

Deserved goal from Turnbull. He's been class today. Great vision and the quality to back it up with his passing.
-
One - if we had a striker.

I'm using Chrome on my Android set top box, and it's been a good streamt today.
-
Aye, we've just been lacking a wee bit of composure with our final ball.
-
On chrome, I'd try running it in an Incogntio Window. If you are on a laptop, Microsoft Edge usually works better than IE. Better team in open play. Dundee been dangerous at set pieces.
-
Nah, Turnbull had a great effort that he just didn't manage to keep down.

What browser? Can you open it in a private window?

Fake News!!!!! Must have been a Russian Twitterbot.

Robinson said yesterday McHugh and Tait both played through injury on Wednesday.

It was actually George W's fault in a feeble attempt to address an energy crisis brought on by his lack of policies to improve energy efficiency. But at least I can use the extra hour to hate them both.
-
This malarky with the US putting their clocks back the week after the UK means I have to wait an extra hour for kick off. It's murder.

Jimmy Sanderson, Richard ("that set the pigeons on fire") Park, Super Scoreboard and the post-match phone in. Compulsory listening on the drive home. "Were you at the game?" Good times.

I think the calculation has something to with whether the new club is ranked as a higher category than the old club. (I thought I had a link to the UEFA rules somewhere, but I can't find them). At least part of the value comes from a formula, but I don't know if that makes up 100% of the fee.
-
Given that GazzyB is out on the west coast of the US and I'm on the east coast of the US we both might struggle to make this one. Good thinking, though. (I also paid the club £120 for the privilege to watch the games online, so there's that too).

And this one is listed as streaming on MFC TV. So we should get a chance to enjoy it live this weekend.

Looking at Cadds goal celebration I think he might have been reading this thread.
-
I think he's one of the players Robinson was talking about that he brought in but can't play because he picked up injuries in training.

Different demographics when Bellshill maternity was the feeder for Lanarkshire clubs. The movement of players exploded long before the Bosman situation when clubs looked overseas for cheap options. The biggest driver was the removal of the maximum wage cap when, overnight, players could double or triple their wages by moving to a different club. That happened in the 50s when Scotland removed the cap before England. (I stayed at a B&B in Felixstowe for work and the landlord there was an ex Ipswich player. He moved to Falkirk when the wage cap was lifted as he could earn much more in Scotland. He played for the 1956/57 cup winning team all the way to the semis, then was dropped for the final; not that he mentioned that much!)

Not to defend Samson for one minute, but I'd rather give credit to Turnbull. I was watching the goal again on Alba and his shot dipped, swerved and bounced right in front of the keeper. A keeper's nightmare in those conditions. I've seen better goalies than Samson let those in - Darren Randolph when he was at West Ham, for example. So yes, Samson might have saved it, but Turnbull deserves credit for taking his chance.
-
Andy Rose on Mixlr gave it to Cadds too, but only just ahead of Turnbull.
-
Delighted he played Bigi and Turnbull together. With the right grafters beside them, they showed they are both capable of creating. Also nice to see that, sometimes, we made use of the well-kept St Mirren grass and passed the ball on the deck.
-
The few times I saw St Mirren last season they looked totally dependent on Lewis Morgan to win games for them. This season just backs up that notion.
