We could have a different option that isn't Miller, though. Both him and Sammon show little imagination as signings. I'd rather have had Ciftci back than sign Miller - like Bigi, he offers a different dimension to the game.

I see Steven Caulker has triggered a clause in his Dundee contract that let him leave as a free agent today. That's not a terrible thing for us.

Having Bigi's creative influence in the midfield and a striker that looks like he might be a natural goal scorer is definitely a step forward from even the 2nd half of last season. Still have some concerns about our lack of pace at the back, but at least that is only short term until Dunne is fit.

Good to see Collum getting the derby, though. That will leave at least one set of fans fuming - bonus if it's both. As others have said, the "big" teams always get extra benefit from decisions. Just the same as the rich and famous get the benefit of the legal system.

I saw a lot of different highlights over the weekend, so I may be misremembering - but I'm pretty sure the Sportscene highlights showed the incident. And they highlighted (and discussed) the Mackay-Steven incident in the Aberdeen game. And had a pop at Willie Collum for being too quick with his red card. Regardless, what is and isn't shown in a 50 minutes highlight programme doesn't really bother me. If they had discussed the Hartlye incident, I guarantee the reaction would have been "he had it coming".

Bigi's deliveries were excellent. Tavernier's defending, in particular, was dreadful. Let the media worry about their defending and let us worry that Bigi will dropped when Dunne is fit and McHugh gets shifted back into midfield

They said something (although I don't remember exactly what). But as I said, keepers get away with violent conduct every week, so it's zero surprise there was no further action here.

Unless someone else ships out (or suffers a long term injury), I doubt we'll be seeing any new faces.

I'm still not sure that's true, It was shown on the live broadcast and on Sportscene. I don't think anything will happen though, because a keeper would need to beat a striker senseless with a baseball bat before a ref would consider awarding an indirect free kick. For some reason, the rules are never applied the same way to goalies.

The Accies game in particular, it seemed like we convinced ourselves we'd need to be ready for some massive, physical battle. When, in reality, this season's Accies is a poor shadow of what they were even last season. A bit of football from the kick off and it could have been very different.

I think that's part of it. Crags was the same when he started with BT Sport - although, thankfully, he's moved away from that now. Outside of his media duties, I've never heard McCulloch say a bad word about us or his time with us, so not particularly bothered what he says about a particular game as a pundit.

Need Dunne back ASAP. Wasn't convinced Hartley and Aldred could play together, and still need convincing now. Aldred was great in place of Hartley, but we lack speed and movement at the back.
