Robinson said in his post match he'd likely freshen up the team for Sunday. Whether that means the starting 11 or the bench I guess we'll see. Presumably that will also depend on whether or not we have any knocks or niggles. I suspect Aberdeen will be a bit smarter next time around. We really seemed to catch them off guard last night.

It sounds like I'm biased, but Joe was the best timer of a tackle I have ever seen - his record of no bookings for about 15 consecutive seasons (or whatever it was) backs that up. Plus, he had all the attributes of today's modern, attacking full backs with his runs up the wing and great passing. As an added bonus, his ball juggling was first rate too - keeping us entertained when there was a stoppage on the pitch.

I agree, I think it was precautionary - but I don't think the application of any concussion protocol was required. And from the team news, it seems we are fully fit. Amazing how everybody stays fit when we are playing well. Still 50/50 that Dunne has a dodgy pen awarded against him from his seat in the stand.

It's not. Like I said, there are no US deals for any domestic Scottish football this season. Fox Soccer Network had the deal last season, but it has since expired.

Thanks to the deal-making expertise of the mighty SFA and SPFL, there is a grand total of zero domestic Scottish football on US telly this season. So it's a case of find your favourite stream.

The SFA (and UEFA and FIFA) periodically issue edicts to clamp down on various negative aspects of the game, but it rarely lasts more than a few weeks. Wasn't the latest one defenders fouling inside the box at corners? That worked well.

My point is not specific to that decision. My point is that if a player dives when he's fouled, and dives when he's not fouled, that makes it more difficult for refs to tell what is a legit pen. As a result, you get decisions like the Boyle one on Saturday. If Tait had just gone down without the swan dive, he might have got the pen instead of the yellow card.

Like I said, I'm not against the appeal. Just pointing out it's theatrics like that that have refs making bad decisions in and around the penalty box.

I don't have a problem with the appeal itself. However, Tait is guilty of what a lot of players are guilty of, and that was "enhancing" the claim with some really bad acting. It's doing things like that that make it even more difficult for refs and increases the number of wrong decisions; the last thing we need given the current standard on display.

As usual, I don't vote when I'm not at a game, but the last couple of matches Moult has looked as sharp as I have ever seen him. Not just fitness wise, but his movement and vision has been top notch. He's seeing opportunities on goal half a second before the defenders. He's never going to a sign an extension, but I still hope he will.
