  1. Aye, I'm sure Yassin dreams of warming the bench at Spurs. The comparison was about defensive qualities. Hutton is a terrible defender and is constantly being caught out of position.
  2. From what I have seen he has the defensive skills of Alan Hutton, and he was snapped up by an EPL club.

    Calendar Signing

Did 'Flow not say he was in Ireland on business?
  4. Was that the slogan for 'Country Life'?
  5. The mods care - which is why they merge them when they can.
  6. You should broadcast it on the internet. I'd pay a fiver for that.

    What If?

It must be a cold day in hell, because I agree 100% with Trucks on this one.
  8. He averaged 8 goals per season in the SPL. Not exactly prolific.
  9. Just promise to keep going until you cross the border.
  10. JG's no fool. He was quite open about his plan to bring in loans on the short term to give him some time. He has already spoken about the need to bring in some new faces during the next window and, given his track record, I have no doubts that's what will happen. For all that, I said since day one that anything around 8th or 9th would be fine this year - as long as we had a decent platform to build on for next season.

    What If?

Sell Forbes for a nice juicy fee, let Ruddy go a decent EPL team and buy Cerny and McArthur on the cheap.
  12. We're not daft enough to worry ourselves over anything that bottom feeding rag has to say. Regardless, it's all about context. A story in the press is different from a big banner at Fir Park. Intentional or not, a flag showing an Irishman wielding a machine gun is open to many interpretations in the West of Scotland; none of them very favourable.
  13. He's since expanded on that saying he responded by asking for clarification. So, basically, he didn't address JG's points.
  14. Well Gannon obviously disagrees with you as he is talking about extending his loan.
  15. File under "It seemed like a good idea at the time".
  16. Totally agree on both points.
  17. And you think we'd be better at constantly updating info via bluetooth?
  18. Or you could just post them on an electronic scoreboard so everybody can see them.
  19. We could just have easily lost the Accies game and St. Johnstone game, so I'm still not convinced it's 8 points thrown away.
  20. And equally, are we doing better than you thought we would after the summer upheaval? We're 12 games into the season with a completely revamped team. Conventional wisdom says it takes 2 to 3 years for a manager to reconstruct. I know patience isn't a virtue amongst fans (myself included), but we need to cut the guy a bit of slack here. Just the fact that he delivered on every player he said he'd bring in gives me confidence he will improve things in the next transfer window.
  21. Seriously, even by football discussion standards, the "if we had taken that chance we'd have won" argument is baseless.
  22. Of course, if we had scored the penalties, the action afterwards would have been different, so there is no guarantee we would have more points.

    Keith Lasley

You are allowed to win by passing the ball about. Will to win doesn't have to mean running around like a headless chicken and yelling at everybody for 90 minutes. Staying in control of your emotions can lead to better decision making and better results.
  24. Surely, since Allah knows when (ya racist )
  25. That would be the same Alex Ferguson who went in the huff with the BBC (because they ran a true story about his son's dodgy dealings as an agent) and stopped speaking to them.
