  1. A good run in the Championship with a team that should be pushing hard for the title is certainly a good place for him to be. Then it will be up to him if he Shanklands it or Watts it.
  2. Raith Rovers would send half this place into meltdown.
  3. Our luck with Cup draws in the old format used to involve drawing teams like Queens Park in a two leg tie and losing 4 - 1 at Fir Park. By the time the groups have played out and you reach the last 16 there is about a 50% chance on average you'll draw a Premiership team if you are seeded and nearly a 100% chance you'll draw a Premiership team if you're unseeded. The opportunity to play the "lesser" teams is baked into the composition of the groups. It's just the nature of the competition these days. My favourite format was the single leg knockout approach where every match was decided on the day (or night) and the final was in November. That avoided the meaningless group games and made it worthwhile for away fans to turn up.
  4. The only reason the seeding exists in the League Cup is to keep Rangers and Celtic apart as much as possible. Otherwise it's a bit of a joke. Still fancy us in the next round, though.
  5. We did take the risk on Moult. It didn't work out.
  6. I'm still laughing at that time you accused me of not getting joy out of anything. If what you post is how you really feel, then football probably isn't the spectator sport for you. Maybe something like basketball would be more up your street.
  7. Methil no more. Take your pick...
  8. It is, but we've had our fair share of strikers who can score for fun against lower league teams and struggle in Premeirship games.
  9. Loves a cup goal against a lower league team.
  10. Just as well it's not in front of a big crowd on live TV in a meaningful game against a club desperate for win fielding an ex-player coming back to haunt us.
  11. I've been enjoying the commentator. From sclaffs to "Sunday Post dives" he's been quite entertaining.
  12. This one didn't even make it to half time.
  13. I had my internet upgraded this week from a dodgy, slow, cuts-out-15-times-a-day connection to a 2GB fibre connection. Really looking forward to... checks notes .... the low bit rate audio stream.
  14. I believe the club streams the BBC, BT Sport(TNT) or Sky live feed being sent back to the studio. If Viaplay doesn't have a live feed at Fir Park then we're out of luck.
  15. He's taking flak because he slagged off those very same players when we signed them (Higdon being a classic example, but there are many others). He also complains about the level of every player we sign and points out we should be signing much higher quality without ever providing a single example of any player we could have signed that meets those criteria. It's pointless, boring and a pretty tired trope for every player we sign to be labelled as useless before they even turn up at Fir Park. "It's all about opinions" is why climate change deniers still get air time on TV and some people in the US still think Trump is president. Sometimes wrong is just wrong and trolling is just trolling.
  16. poppadom tsh, surely? (just rogan joshin')
  17. Did they start 3 academy players and play them in Elgin?
  18. We should save him a seat this season in the ex-players box.
  19. No place in the Utd squad for Moult this evening. He's not injured already is he? I genuinely hope not.
  20. One of them will, two will arrive the week after. (or I could just be guessing)
  21. A gig in India is pretty lucrative these days. Sounds like another bit of business that is beneficial to both parties.
