  1. The ball seemed to hit his chest first then his arm which I thought wasn't handball but can totally see why he got a red as VAR wouldn't have shown that the referee made a clear mistake.
  2. Quite happy to see what Balmer can do in Casey's absence. It could be 2-2 and I'd be quite happy with a point.
  3. That would make sense as play hadn't even started when he was carded.
  4. Any other day it would have been Wilson as he was outstanding today. Has to be the Ox though as those saves were top class and came at crucial times for us.
  5. I like Tony Watt but he's been awful so far.
  6. Thought it was harsh but maybe it was for an accumulation of fouls.
  7. Blair Spittal to keep Mr O.G. top of our goalscoring chart and win the game for us.
  8. For me it has to be someone who played most, if not all, of the match so SO'Ds gets it for being solid defensively, supporting the attack and putting in some great crosses. The recent criticism of Wilson seems overly harsh and I thought he had another good game.
  9. Yeah, I get that but there was a suggestion that he would be cup-tied which he isn't. Unless we're getting kicked out of the cup in the morning due to an 'administrative oversight'.
  10. Was thinking the same when I read the news, probably would to be honest.
  11. I didn't receive one yet.
  12. Nah, quad injury. I've had these injuries before and they can come along at random despite being fit and ready.
  13. How so? He was challenging for the ball when he got injured and it's not easy to make out due to a lack of replays but looks like he may have planted his foot awkwardly.
  14. Doesn't tip the balance in our favour but it certainly improves our chances even if it's just him coming off the bench to defend a lead or take a penalty after drawing the game.
  15. I'm actually quite happy about this given the way our strikers have been so isolated so far this season. Watt has the ability and the engine to link up with the midfield and create chances. This could be a good signing and he may fancy staying on if he does well and feels at home again.
  16. I think we'll win this one. Got a funny feeling about it.
  17. Never been a fan of Callaghan - mainly because he was at Accies - but these three are all SPL level players that can do a job for mid to bottom half teams like ours. The injuries are unfortunate but I can see why SK signed them and how they would have strengthened our weak midfield.
  18. Haven't seen it on any of the YouTube highlights yet. Probably only included our goal because they scored it.
  19. Definitely not offside for the first goal. Thought we did alright, 2-1 isn't the worst result, Robinson could have scored but Butland made a great save. With a full team we might have got a point or three but it was about as good as we could have hoped for given the circumstances.
  20. Slattery's was a knee injury rather than muscular so I'd put him in your 'part and parcel' category. I agree that the injuries to others were muscular and that must come down to strength training and conditioning. Were they ready to play? Have previous injuries not fully cleared up and / or weakened them long-term? It's not just the eight this year, we had a bad run of injuries last season too and maybe no-one or no one thing is to blame but it's enormously frustrating.
