  1. I think sol has been decent this season,it would be a bit shit if he's been dropped for the handball on sunday, mugabi being brought in who's hardly kicked a ball this season is giving me the fear.
  2. Spot on our game management is woeful, were far to nice on the pitch,it's about time we started pulling out some dirty tricks when it's required.going back to the rangers goal, there was about 6 chances to pull the guy down, take the booking and then prevent the goal, you can be sure st johnstone will play every trick in the book this weekend if they need too.
  3. The league is as tight as ever where a couple of wins could get you right up the table and at the same time go the other way with defeats.im concerned that we have just lost another game by the odd goal,it's now becoming a real problem rather than just a coincidence,we need to be finding a way of coming away from these tight games with atleast a point,at 2-2 on Sunday the minimum we should have been coming away with was a point, throw in the likes st johnstone at home and kilmarnock away and it's a habit we need to stamp out and quick.any team will always struggle if there home from is poor and ours definitely is,I expect nothing from this game but the games coming up against kilmarnock and st mirren are almost at the point of must wins to not only put points on the board but to stop any psychological problems kicking in from playing at fir park.
  4. It would be madness to persist with the same formation and shields for this game.i would go with moult and van veen from the start and cause as much bother as we can, there's no point throwing moult on when the game is out of sight.i would have cornelius in for mckinstry to offer some legs in the middle of the park which will most definately be needed.
  5. Aye a home win would be nice, that livi game feels like a long time ago.i fully expect to get beat off celtic but with st mirren and kilmarnock coming soon,we really need to be bucking our ideas up at home.
  6. Really good post,I wanted alexander gone and there's no doubt hammell was chucked in at the deep end on the eve of the new season but he wanted the job full time and the he's the man the club entrusted with the managers position so anything happening now is totally down to him,we can't keep blaming alexander forever.i said when it went to 2-2 that I hope we don't think it's job done and sit back and that's exactly what we did, either the players, manager or both though that was the right decision and it backfired big time, that game was there for the taking but despite being in the ascendency we were happy to take the point and it bit us on the arse, between that and the pitiful second half performance against ten men last week,it's simply not acceptable.theres problems throughout the team in the current set up,the defence gets no protection from the midfield, who in turn offer very little going forward,we don't have the wide players to compliment a lone striker,we really need to shake things up.i fully expect celtic to beat us yet again but surely hammell wont set us up the same way again,I think we're at the point we need to be going with two up top and going more solid in midfield.
  7. Totally agree with that,we don't have the legs in midfield to get about the pitch, when the opposition is goal side of our midfield there all totally out the game, that 3rd hearts goals sums it up,nobody getting close enough to make a tackle.
  8. Exactly we have no chance if the basics aren't being done, the standard of goals we give away are criminal, fitness levels are questionable as well, too many were blowing out the arse towards the end of that game.
  9. We have a 60% win rate playing against 10 men according to the bbc
  10. Last chance saloon and we commit a foul when the box comes into the box, joke.
  11. They have 10 men after playing and travelling on Thursday and we're going through the motions like this, shocking.
  12. Absolutely shocking,I've never known a team that just gives up so much possession like we do.
  13. I would like us to get penney on a permanent deal if we can,he's been excellent and the best we have had since hammell.if we can't get him then we need to bring in someone of similar ability, whatever happens we can't go back to carroll and mcginley as our options.
  14. I'm totally with you there having seen it from that angle,it's a shocking challenge, there was no attempt at pulling out of it,you can see the way that goss sock moves that he's done him by raking the studs down him.
  15. Good 3 points in the grand scheme of things but hammell should be going through them for that second half performance.
  16. Were showing exactly how not to play against 10 men,we need to waken up and quick.
  17. He should have been sent off for his haircut alone, come on boys let's not fuck this up from here.
  18. That utd keeper is absolute garbage,we should be testing him at every opportunity
  19. I would have went with cornelius instead of spittal but other than that it's probably the best we can pick from right now.
  20. Definitely, mcginn could have done a lot better,he was beaten far to easily.the second goal just sums us up at the minute,we gave cheap possession away, then mcginn gets skinned and there's a free header 6 yards out with our centre half's nowhere to be seen,it was preventable on so many levels.
  21. Good point,we are definitely leaderless at the back, both goals we conceded yesterday could maybe have been prevented with a bit of communication between our centre half's,why we were defending so high up at the first goal when we have no pace at the back is a mystery and the second goal for the aberdeen player to be in between the centre half's 6 yards out in a joke and that's not the first time we have lost a goal like that this season.there doesn't seem to be any reaction when we lose goals, they just stand around looking at each other which is frustrating.we have serious issues defending as a team that's needs addressed and quick,we have been well in all these games that we have lost by the odd goal but we can't keep giving the opposition an average of two a game,if we can remotely tighten up at the back we can easily turn these tight games into more points.
  22. We aren't any better or worse than most teams in the league,we just happen to be the team that's hid the skids over the last few games,to be honest I would have probably settled for where we are right now coming into the season with a rookie managerial team in place.theres definitely concerns though, were starting to see the same problems rearing there head again, the team's looks disjointed and yet again we still don't really know what our best 11 is.we can't keep defending like school boys it's killing is,both goals today we're completely different but yet as equally as embarrassing as the other to concede.if we were even remotely competent at the back we could have walked away with a point at rugby park and st Johnstone at home, those points could have been valuable and at the same time not allowing those teams to walk away with the 3 points who are going to be in and around us come the end of the season.im all for changing the shape and trying to make us harder to break down and atleast give us a platform to work with,we have been on the wrong end of losing by the odd goal to many times this season already,we ain't going to score loads so one might be enough if we can somehow cut out the daft goals and lapses in concentration at the back,to be honest I'm not sure we can as we seem to have been saying that for as long as I can remember.i love hammell as much as the next fan and want him too succeed but he needs to.learn from the mistakes being made and quick,I really hope we don't go to tannadice and adopt the same approach, this game shouldn't hold any fears but we can't go there and give them a helping hand,if we can go there and shitfest the game and come away with a point,I will settle for that.
