I said at the time when we signed mcginn that it would only make sense if odonnell was leaving.dont get me wrong I think mcginn has been a decent enough signing but as players they couldn't be any similar in terms of ability and were most likely paying them both good money to have one of them sitting on the bench.i would personally change to 3 at the back and move mcginn inside and have odonnell at right wing back,we need to find a way of making ourselves harder to beat,we are shooting ourselves in the foot on a weekly basis with the standard of goals were giving away.

I feel similar about van veen,I think he's a decent asset when he's in the mood but lately he's miles off it,his confidence looks completely gone,I wouldn't even be surprised he's playing with an injury at the minute.we really find ourselves in a tough situation where our main guy for a goal isn't at the races but we still need to play him cause we have nobody else.

Agree about the formation,I was never a fan of it under alexander and less so now,we don't have the players or the pace in the team to make it work.a change is definitely required,were as predictable as ever and even at this early stage in the season the opposition have us sussed already.

The issue is at both ends of the park but were giving away an average of two goals a game at the minute and that just simply can't continue,even if we were half decent in attack giving away two goals a game can't happen.the goals yet again are embarrassing,the first why are we playing that high of a line when we have no pace at the back and then the second mcginn is beating far to easy and then it's a free header six yards out.it looks like we're going to be going into yet another transfer window with the same problems that have been staring us in the face for agesthat were going to try and have to fix.

Beat at home again with barely a whimper against an average team,the alarm bells are starting to ring for me.

The two of them play like wee boys,constantly shoved out of possession and when they do get the ball they take it back into crowded areas,not good enough from either in that first half.

I hope hammell has it in him to boot some arses and come up with something at half time cause if the second half goes the same way as the first and we lose this game then I'll be more than a little concerned,aberdeen have been brutal but yet we have offered next to nothing.

I couldn't agree more,the basics aren't been done right now,we can talk about rangers and celtic being much better than us,there's nothing new there but the standard of goals we have conceded against the other teams is really alarming,from the likes of st johnstone at home to kilmarnock away.

You have to do everything to make it as hard as possible when playing against better players and hope that you get a wee break but we do the complete opposite,far to easy yet again.

We simply don't defend well enough to compete in these games even on a semi regular basis,hammell has got serious work to do as we look like we could concede in any game we go into and then there's the added problem of being pretty powder puff up front.

Spot on,I don't get the whole lucky chat either,over the course of a full season we finished 5th and that's where we deserved to be.

Poor defending has cost us yet again today and when you take it in the goal at easter road and then go back to the likes of rugby park and st Johnstone at home,we really need to start defending better.the majority of games in this league are won by fine margins and we can't keep falling the wrong side of the line by give away stupid goals all the time.

Exactly,our attacking options are pretty dire,we get next to nothing from our wide players,morris is out of his depth and mckinstry plays like what he is,an inexperienced young boy,the same goes for tierney.it looks like we will be going into another transfer window trying to solve our attacking problems.
