The league is that tight that we could quite easily be battling for the top 6 just as easily as we could be battling relegation, one thing for certain though is we need to sort out our dreadful home form and this game would be the perfect time to start.
-
We were always going to get pumped in this game, getting some minutes into the legs is the most important thing.
-
I hate you butler
-
Cheers mate,I thought I recognised the name.
-
Is that him that scored the free kick against us for sligo
-
It's not just because he plays for us but not giving kelly atleast 45 minutes in that game was madness,it would have been an ideal time to try him out,a game away from home to a decent side to see how he reacts to international football.gordon is number one and that's fine but are we just going to wait until he retires and then spend however long seeing who is upto the job as his replacement.

I'm sure moult will be working on his fitness over the break and hopefully with some bounce games throwing in,he will be a bit sharper for it,him like the rest of the squad need to hit the ground running after the world cup.we definitely need to be signing another striker, our options up front just won't do for the rest of the season.
-
After the sligo games and alexander leaving then appointing hammell,I would have been happy enough stopping for the world cup with us in 9th place.i hope we can use the break to our advantage and get players back from injury and allow hammell a bit of a breather to take stock and hopefully plan for upcoming transfer window.theres a wee bit of a gap opening up to the teams above us that we have to put right against st mirren and kilmarnock,we really need to be hitting the ground running when the play resumes.

Fair do's mate,thanks for that.

I think sol has been decent this season,it would be a bit shit if he's been dropped for the handball on sunday, mugabi being brought in who's hardly kicked a ball this season is giving me the fear.

Spot on our game management is woeful, were far to nice on the pitch,it's about time we started pulling out some dirty tricks when it's required.going back to the rangers goal, there was about 6 chances to pull the guy down, take the booking and then prevent the goal, you can be sure st johnstone will play every trick in the book this weekend if they need too.

The league is as tight as ever where a couple of wins could get you right up the table and at the same time go the other way with defeats.im concerned that we have just lost another game by the odd goal,it's now becoming a real problem rather than just a coincidence,we need to be finding a way of coming away from these tight games with atleast a point,at 2-2 on Sunday the minimum we should have been coming away with was a point, throw in the likes st johnstone at home and kilmarnock away and it's a habit we need to stamp out and quick.any team will always struggle if there home from is poor and ours definitely is,I expect nothing from this game but the games coming up against kilmarnock and st mirren are almost at the point of must wins to not only put points on the board but to stop any psychological problems kicking in from playing at fir park.
-
It would be madness to persist with the same formation and shields for this game.i would go with moult and van veen from the start and cause as much bother as we can, there's no point throwing moult on when the game is out of sight.i would have cornelius in for mckinstry to offer some legs in the middle of the park which will most definately be needed.
-
Aye a home win would be nice, that livi game feels like a long time ago.i fully expect to get beat off celtic but with st mirren and kilmarnock coming soon,we really need to be bucking our ideas up at home.

Really good post,I wanted alexander gone and there's no doubt hammell was chucked in at the deep end on the eve of the new season but he wanted the job full time and the he's the man the club entrusted with the managers position so anything happening now is totally down to him,we can't keep blaming alexander forever.i said when it went to 2-2 that I hope we don't think it's job done and sit back and that's exactly what we did, either the players, manager or both though that was the right decision and it backfired big time, that game was there for the taking but despite being in the ascendency we were happy to take the point and it bit us on the arse, between that and the pitiful second half performance against ten men last week,it's simply not acceptable.theres problems throughout the team in the current set up,the defence gets no protection from the midfield, who in turn offer very little going forward,we don't have the wide players to compliment a lone striker,we really need to shake things up.i fully expect celtic to beat us yet again but surely hammell wont set us up the same way again,I think we're at the point we need to be going with two up top and going more solid in midfield.
-
Totally agree with that,we don't have the legs in midfield to get about the pitch, when the opposition is goal side of our midfield there all totally out the game, that 3rd hearts goals sums it up,nobody getting close enough to make a tackle.
-
Exactly we have no chance if the basics aren't being done, the standard of goals we give away are criminal, fitness levels are questionable as well, too many were blowing out the arse towards the end of that game.
-
We have a 60% win rate playing against 10 men according to the bbc
-
Last chance saloon and we commit a foul when the box comes into the box, joke.
-
Spittal is rank totten
-
They have 10 men after playing and travelling on Thursday and we're going through the motions like this, shocking.
-
Absolutely shocking,I've never known a team that just gives up so much possession like we do.
-
I would like us to get penney on a permanent deal if we can,he's been excellent and the best we have had since hammell.if we can't get him then we need to bring in someone of similar ability, whatever happens we can't go back to carroll and mcginley as our options.
-
I'm totally with you there having seen it from that angle,it's a shocking challenge, there was no attempt at pulling out of it,you can see the way that goss sock moves that he's done him by raking the studs down him.
-
Good 3 points in the grand scheme of things but hammell should be going through them for that second half performance.
