  1. Heard that Hammell will be away. Didn't know it was Dundee though.
  2. As much as I'm dond of Man United I doubt I'll popping along. More than likely to e nursing a Macedonia hangover...
  3. I'm disappointed naebody shot the bastard Nah seriously, I can't really comment on events today but it was inevitable that McGhee was going to get a plethora of abuse. Sounds like the cringeworthy element of our support came to the fore however.
  4. "I don't think they will be going into this game with any concern about proving anybody wrong. "As I always say to people in life and in football, you should never set about trying to prove people wrong who doubt you, you should try to prove people right who believe in you. "I believe in them and I just want them to go out and perform, for us, for themselves and for Motherwell Football Club." So refreshing. Top man!
  5. I'm a big fan of Hammell, always have been. However he has had a tendancy to go completely out of shape in recent years and if he isn't content with his position at the club I'd be happy if Gannon moves him on. Plenty of SPL clubs will rate Hammell pretty highly so I wouldn't be surprised if a swap deal was to materialise with one of our provincial counterparts.
  6. Educated guess would suggest that De Laat was top of the list for right backs.
  7. Still think we need a striker with a bit of pedigree and a right back who can cover at centre half if required.

To be fair the Oldham fans were understandably gutted at losing a class act for nothing.

Aye, he had a bust up with the boss. He also had an unsuccessful spell at Plymouth that was cut short.

For Everton to pick him up from Swindon, he must have something about him in terms of technique. What he doesn't appear to be however, is a natural goalscorer. So I doubt he can operate as a lone striker!? Intrigued to see what kinda impact this boy can have.

Everton links bear fruit once again. Well in Gannon.
  12. Is it just me, or are less folk making the trip than I would have imagined. Seems to have been a lack of chat about going up there. As for the game, geting one over McGhee in our first clash at Pittodrie would be just too good to be true. I'm therefore going to predict a 2nil defeat. If we win however, either with a last minute winner or 3nil masterclass, I'll die a happy man. Jim Gannon's Motherwell Army!
  13. Coke, O'Brien, Hutchison, Forbes and Slane. Contract offers should be on the table now.
  14. If we ever get the tannoy fixed, this could be the way forward http://www.mcfc.co.uk/News/Club-news/2009/...ylist-announced
  15. Tremendous viewing yesterday albeit our change in tactics at the beginning of the 2nd half made nervous. I think Humphrey looked a lot last week with Murphy & co feeding him balls that cut out the fullback. Anyway, good solid performances from everyone in conjunction with a sparkling Jim O'Brien made for a very comfortable victory. Looking forward, the challenge for Gannon is to keep the feet of these young guns firmly on the ground, while getting new contracts for the lads before poison like Willie MacKay starts sniffing around. In the meantine however, I love watching a group of enthusiastic talented youngsters who seem to thrive upon pulling on a 'Well jersey and playing some lovely fitba.
  16. Never trusted the guy from early on. Shame it took soooooo long for so many of you to see through him.
  17. I speculated during the week that it would be an Everton player. Gannon seems to have closely tracked the progress of youth players in Scouseland in particular.
  18. Given that our pre-match fears focused on the inevitability of Kyle scoring, then Craigan and Hutchison deserve a helluva lot of credit for the manner in which they limited the impact of both striker. MOTM has to go to O'Brien, his touch, trickery and delivery were exceptional today. On top of all his skill, the boy runs his balls off week in, week out. really deserved a goal today to top of a blinding performance. Hopefully he is saving his goals for McGhee next week.
  19. Ex Premiership striker signs for Accies. Leon Knight. I'd have been pretty excited if he had signed for us.
  20. Eh? Colin Nish is the very man to knock it down for Stokes. Hibs have the potential to be very good going forward with Nish, Stokes, Riordan, Benji, Zemmamma & a couple of excellent young kids (Byrne & Wotherspoon) in their ranks.
  21. Fuck, hadn't heard that. My hibbee mates at work will be creaming themsleves this morning.
  22. Decent shout from P&B: http://www.burnleyfootballclub.com/page/Pr...3~47756,00.html
  23. Read up on the boy yesterday when I had a hunch that we would be going for an Everton boy. Hope its not him tbh.
