  1. Scottish Sun reporting a fee of Β£4.75m plus add ons.
  2. Yes. My greatest concern is lack of firepower. Whilst I do like our current brand of football, I also like to see us hit the net a few times. We do seem to be utterly toothless.
  3. West Mains Avenue, south west of B &Q. There's also a wee bit of waste ground there, on which you can usually park for free. 10 minute walk to the stadium. You can also avoid congestion by driving through housing estates to Broxden roundabout.
  4. I reckon we'll need 2 strikers, a midfielder and 1/2 central defenders. Michael Wimmer said that we needed to strengthen our striking noptions and we all knew we were light in that department going into the League Cup group games. Those games only confirmed what we already knew. Some very neat football but absolutely no cutting edge.
  5. Interesting that Robbo said that they had been watching all our pre season and early seaon games and we played exactly as he expected.
  6. Hard to pick a best 11 from the "recent past". Vic Davidson would certainly be in my mix as would Willie McVie and Stewart McLaren. No-one, no one, messed with the latter 2. They'd have eaten the likes of Gogic for breakfast.
  7. A good point away from home against a team of hammer throwers (sorry media). However the performance didn't tell us anything we didn't know before. We need 2 central defenders and 2 more physical strikers. I presume Kofi Balmer is on his way out?
  8. 70% posession is great but we are toothless up front.
  9. Unless its injury enforced, that's a very peculiar line up. Not confident at all now, but if we get a decent result then great.
  10. Given that there's 3 and possibly even 4 games to come this season between the clubs, St Mirren may want to play a long game and do us as much damge as they can on Saturday. Lets hope we have a strong referee.
  11. Cooperation agreement struck with Stenhousemuir. Only White heading there.
  12. We certainly seem to suffer an inordinate amount of serious injuries to loan players: Biereth, Eseosa, Mair, Montgomery, Kaletea, and Vale in the past couple of years. That does seem very unusual. Some or all of these absences will be genuine but I just wonder if some of them are due to other reasons, which the clubs and player won't want publicised eg. homesickness, behaviour, failure to settle?
  13. Met him years ago in the POD Stand at half time during a game. There had been a controversial moment when I, along with most of our support, thought we'd been denied a perfectly good goal, which had been chalked off by the referee. He heard me complaining about it and pontificated that I knew nothing about football. From that day on, I turned the sound off when he was commentating on games.
  14. Yes, as has been posted elsewhere, its a very very vague statement.
  15. πŸ˜’ No, at Strathclyde Uni a good few years ago. πŸ˜’
  16. I think I'll give it a miss having encountered both of these gentlemen.
  17. Now down to a single striker. St Mirren will be monitoring this news no doubt. https://www.motherwellfc.co.uk/2025/08/06/eseosa-sule-injury-update/
  18. I'd hazard a guess and say that they're a big enough club now that they don't want away supporters.
  19. Is he younger than you Joe? I've been on the verge of calling a player a veteran, or past it, then realised he was decades younger than me!
  20. Ross MacLean playing for Forfar these days.
  21. A post on P & B suggesting that Sule has returend to West Bromwich with a long term injury. If true, not good news and we'll require 2 replacements, one urgently.
  22. It'll be a tough physical game that will test our midfield and defence. A very different kind of opponent.
  23. Pretty much this. Yes, more reinforcements would be required but we have to be able to perform at this level in midweek winter games in the likes of Falkirk or Paisley.
  24. Yes, I've been saying that for some weeks now, as have some others. I'm confident that JBA will sign some new faces to rectify these weaknesses. A great crowd today of 10,616. It would have added to the atmosphere and our coffers. I couldn't make the game today due to family circumstances but it seems to have been an encouraging performance and we earned a creditable point. Things are looking bright. A little bit of trouble in the POD Stand unfortunatley, from what I'm hearing.
