As Robbo has said it'll be a balancing act between giving more players game time and getting the job done. I expect that Kipre and Hartley will start, with maybe Taylor-Sinclair, Johnson and Sammon getting more game time. It may not be easy but we should do it without too much trouble, if we display a professional attitude.

I know that population and attendances aren't the same but the population of Salford is considerably more than that of Aberdeen (admittedly not the hinterland) and the population of York is about the same as Aberdeen. Even lower league clubs in England benefit from massive TV monies compared to our Premier League clubs.

Completely agree about the suicide prevention message as too many lives, especially young ones, are destroyed by it. I have no idea of the merits or otherwise of Danny Byrne's gripe but it should not be with MFC or with the video, which is trying to do good. By doing what he has done he is overshadowing the underlying message of the video, which is a real shame. If he has a grievance then he should take it up with his former employers, Oldham Athletic . He may have a genuine grievance and he may not, but this was not the correct way to handle it.

Absolutely. Without Cadden beside him, Tait wasn't nearly as effective. In the second half our right flank lacked attacking ability.

Surprised that Rohan Ferguson wasn't on the bench last night. A comfortable win and the players got more game time. After the first half the second was always going to be an anti climax and so it proved.

I thought Sammon did ok when he came on last night although you can't come to any definitive conclusion on such a short appearance. Very early days but he looks to have a bit more than Bowman in his locker. We need to give him a chance. Rumour last night that Carson is on his way as we've accepted a bid - time will tell.

I'm a bit surprised at us taking Sammon on loan as he seems to be the same kind of player we already have. Pure speculation on my part but....could he be a replacement for an outgoing striker? Robbo recently said that we'd made offers for two strikers and were awaiting their responses and its strange that we have just received a seemingly unexpected offer for Ryan Bowman - coincidence? Would we go back to anohter target and tell him "Sorry we no longer want you"? To those who bemoan our perceived style of play this season I'd say just remember wee Tommy. When he first arrived his first few years were characterised by dull and boring sides but who were effective. Lets just wait and see this year.

He must be bad if he's even worse than John Sutton , who I was told, was Hearts' worst signing ever. This site is almost as negative as our Pie & Bovril thread and thats saying something. Give the guy a chance. If he wears C&A then he has my support.

I doubt it very much. If that were the case we'd have a string of clubs publicly denying these rumours and the club would soon earn a reputation.

Apologies Aberdeen and Celtic scuppered the change to league money distribution and voting rights. Aberdeen blocked change on the basis that they thought they'd finish second but as we all know we pipped them to it that season.

Both Hartley and Kipre are banned for this game; so we'll be forced to rearrange our defence.

Are you sure? I was always under the impression that it was only Aberdeen who torpedoed change.

His sell on fee will probably go to pay off previous "investors" as has happened with their earlier big transfer fees. I'm happy with our approach to squad building and its worked quite well.
