  1. Not seen us win this season. On holiday for the Livingston game and missed the Arbroath game with the lurgi.
  2. Our winless run will come to an end, it has to at some point but it won't be tonight. I wonder how many of our new faces will start or even feature?
  3. Still got huge concerns about our midfield and defence. Not addressed so far. Still only 2 central defenders, including Ricki Lamie and a young untried left back.
  4. I hope we're looking to bring in a first pick.
  5. Please no. McGinn is no central defender.
  6. Hopefully, though there could be a number of other reasons as to why they have been underperforming.
  7. I certainly hope so although there are suggestions there's more to come. I'll keep my powder dry as there's a possibility of a new central defender and defenisive midfielder.....time will tell later today about that. These areas have been critically weak all season and surely Hammel has seen that? As things stand at 10.36, the team still looks unbalanced. Hammy is certainly not stupid and was a loyal, model professional and is a decent guy, by all accounts, although I've never met him. Although he played nearly 600 games for us, he was never a great defender. His strengths were his pace and drive going forward and his passing and crossing abilities. These were eyecatching and more than compensated for his lack of defensive ability.
  8. This forum is getting worse! 😂
  9. We have to be prudent of course we do, but we do have £4 m in the bank.
  10. A minimum of 3 please. We should be addressing central defence (we now have 2 fit players there), a replacement left back (we've known Penney was leaving for some time), and a defensive midfielder (we've all known about this deficiency for months).
  11. Agree 100%. We need replacement bodies and fast. The clock is ticking. A good bit of business getting a fee for Sol though.
  12. An ill advised comment and a bit arrogant. Surely others are allowed to disagree with you?
  13. He made it clear he wanted to leave months and months before he eventually departed. Just part of his nomadic career style.
  14. You're probably right. St Johnstone will try to bolster their already huge squad by bringing in someone like Zak Rudden. The clock is ticking and we really really need to do business. I'll reserve judgement until midnight.
  15. The Board failed to back Alexander over the summer. That's part of the problem. He wasn't given a free rein to sign players. They failed to back him or sack him.
  16. There's no way way Watt will walk away from £5K a week. If he stays in Scotland it will be a loan deal.
  17. Most of us would agree that our midfield is a huge issue. Players like Goss and Slattery, to name but two, have regressed under Hammell and in some cases there may be other reasons for that as well. I believe that both are better players than they seem to be at the moment. However, as OTF, has said in the past its often about the mix of players in the engine room. To get the best out of individuals they have to be the right blend and play as a unit. This just isn't happening. Others may disagree, but I don't see either Goss or Slattery as No 6s, yet thats how they're being played. Slattery has a decent eye for goal and I see him more as an all rounder in the Gorrin mould. What do I know though?
  18. Tony Watt on the move again? This is becoming a habit.
  19. Not fully convinced of him yet. He's got potential but needs to beef up and get more physical (Hammy's words in part). The problem I have is where to play him. Any time he's been in the gap behind KVV he's played too deep and failed to support him.
  20. I suspect thats fairly accurate Stu. In addition to a free season ticket though ST holders were also given a year's free access to TV. We, and I include myself in that, did all right out of it. I did make a donation but now wish I'd paid more, knowing what I know now.
  21. As long as we have a replacement lined up.
  22. Not nice and I don't like it but understand it. If things continue as they are on the pitch and the Directors don't act then this is only going to get worse. Not in anyone's interest.
  23. We certainly need to change things for this game. More of the same simply won't do. How often do we say that on these fora? Even with our limited squad size, Hammell has options - maybe not all of them advisable though. Making too many changes at one time could be disruptive and counterproductive. Oxborough for an off form Kelly? Switch McGinn and Johnston? Drop Lamie and reinstate Sol? Bring in the seemingly out of favour O'Donnell? Swap Cornelius for Spittal? Swap Crankshaw for Shields? Bring in Mandron (if fit) Find a place somewhere for Tierney, but not behind KVV. Danzaki?
  24. Welcome to Fir Park Mr Davidson; we hope you enjoy your visit. What can we do to help you?
