Yes, in the email out today (might have been yesterday) it mentioned a Q&A to be setup

Reading Les's interview he makes a couple if very good points. "A figure of 2,000 was my judgment and that is probably only required for two years. There are peaks and troughs in terms of cash coming into the club. You get TV money and SPFL money at various points of the year. 'So, what people have to do is build up that little kitty to help them through those lower points, and then, of course, get it back when money comes in. 'They don't have to think about putting money in for the next 15 years. That shouldn't be necessary." So we don't need to keep 2000 paying member from now until the end of time. Just at a minimum enough to get that slush fund to see us through the peaks and troughs. Proving the business model is NOT to use WS funds for day to day running. Also... Are Motherwell close to break-even point now? Are more cuts needed? 'No, no. I'm not aware of any further trimming required. 'We have been prudent with the budget in terms of what we think is achievable on and off the pitch. The profit and loss would suggest that, in the next 12 months, the club will effectively break even." That answers questions about are we breaking even or not. I would say it is possible for this to work and has a decent chance of doing so. But there is still a distance to go and hurdles to overcome.

Our last reports were up to May 2015. A lot can happen in a year. Depends how you cut the figures as well. We could be saying right now we are about breaking even on a monthly basis and now budgeting correctly, so to speak, but maybe that has only been the past month or so....so the yearly accounts this May may still show losses. But the projections would be differnt this time around if we have started to break even. Again we will have to wait and see.

I am another of the lapsed WS members who has now resigned up for the DD. I am a supporter of the idea and society in general, do have my doubts but willing to stick a 10er a month away for a year or so to see how things go.

Struggling to field a first team due to a bug sweeping the squad apparently. If it gets worse we are considering requesting a postponement.

The Well Society website tells all. Have a look.

...and exactly this too. There is cause for question and concern...but not panic like some of the posters here are exhibiting.
-
I'll wait until I hear the full story before jumping to any conclusions here. From the outside it looks like Les has 'sold' the club earlier as planned back to the society for reasons unclear from the statement really. Loan payments have been deferred to him so the situation may not be that different from before other than the the stewardship of the club changes and he is still owed money.

That's how I understood it. Someone on here quoted overhearing a member of staff at the club saying that at the Livingston game.

You can't put the score on but you can put the result (win/loss/draw)

Cadden extended to 2018. Looks like that will be good business.

Motherwell V The Rangers Spfl Playoff Final 2Nd Leg 31/05/15

Don't run on the park. Simple enough. Let's see if folk can contains themselves. Not one for doing it myself...never mind the fact I would have to dreep down the front of the main stand! -
Looks like a youngster rather than trialist for the first team.

Very important we get 3 points on Friday and I think we will. Next games are Aberdeen home, Inverness away and Celtic home. Difficult fixtures.
-
I might be different from most but McManus hasn't been hugely disappointing for me. But it's about expectations I suppose. I didn't expect the youngster who came on to the scene at Celtic and quickly got the captaincy and Scotland caps. I expected to get the player who hadn't really played a full season since 2010 and had picked up a fair few injuries. I also have a lot of Celtic supporting mates who never really rated him and when he moved were not hugely fussed. The recurring comment was his positioning and decisions could be poor but a lot of fans liked him for the big crunching tackles. So, for me, he does enough well at our level (mid table Premiership in my eyes) and is respected enough in the club to get a deal. If, however, we can get an experienced enough left sided centre back who is better then I would be up for changing things.

Last year the final was 2 quid to get in and also shown free on YouTube (from a search of the SFA website)

Renew. We still need experience and we cannot go with a pairing the likes of Hall and Laing/Kennedy just yet. But we need to be planning for the future at the same time with the youth and bleeding them in. Of the out of contract players I would be letting Clarkson, Moore, Fletcher and Leitch go. I would be trying to move on Chalmers too as he is nowhere near good enough. Would be offering Las on a 1 year deal. McManus and Hammy 1 with another year option. Skippy on a 2 year deal. Samson and Faddy I would stall on to see what else is about before committing. Gomis can go back and assume Ripley will be the same.

Yep exactly this. I said - however not as well- something similar a good few pages back.

The change of formation with 3 up top worked well at the weekend as teams were just doubling/tripling up on our wide men. Would stick with the same for Accies.

Motherwell V Partick Thistle Sat 27 Feb 15:00

I wanted a sub on as I was a bit worried about the legs of a few and the last thing we needed was a slip up as they were pushing on. Players when tired also can go mentally. However it worked fine so all is well. -
Didn't take long for this thread to turn negative. Shocker.

Derek has been a major influence and driving force on the board for a number of years now. Would be interested to understand why he has resigned. Could be as simple as needs to focus on other work (bearing in mind directorship is not a salaried position at for park) or could be something else.
