I've been fortunate enough to go to a few European games and am a bit jealous of those who have made it to the more far flung fixtures than the west European trips I've been on. If they want to post some pictures to bring back memories and let others see what it was like, then fire in. I think we got to the point of taking these European jaunts for granted and we'll be looking wistfully back pretty soon (if not already).

I was impressed with him when he played against us for St. Mirren and would have been happy enough if he'd signed for us when he left them. I thought he looked as though his performance level had dropped off a bit last season and I'd now be hoping for someone better. Very similar to Kello who seemed to drop away after being very impressive and whom many on here (including me) were looking for us to sign at one time.

Not sure but I think the friends fare might still be available if there are four of you going by train.

According to the club website, Craigan has been managing the under 19's for the past two years so he has experience in a similar role and must have the appropriate qualifications.

Dom Thomas provided some excitement last season at times when we really needed something to spark our hopes. He was also aabsolutely woeful against Thistle when given the chance to impress. He needs to kick on next season and take his chances when he gets them. Hopefully in an attacking team he'll get the chance and space ne needs.

Yeah, Bittain said he is looking to become a site manager so it's a good opportunity for someone looking for a career for when the football stops.

I saw a documentary last year on wrestling of that era and I think he still wouldn't reveal his identity and wore the mask during the interview. I still remember sitting with my grandparents and watching Dickie Davies introducing World of Sport before cheering for Big Daddy. Can't get the theme tune out of my head now!

It has to be said, the wrestling being talked about here doesn't bear much resemblance to what the current generation consider as wrestling.

I'd always, perhaps wrongly and naively, thought the Mick nickname came from the old wrestler rather than being based on anything to do with Ireland/religion. I also thought his nickname was widely known and have certainly heard it used on several occasions. Different people refer to different players in different ways and if someone wants to use a widely known nickname then I don't see a problem with that. Still amazed he got player of the year but I can't think of any outstanding candidates for across the whole season.

Looking back, there was room for improvement as we started both games by just thumping the ball away from our box. This may have been a deliberate ploy to stop them building up momentum, but they were spells when we could have tried to have created more.

I know all of these signings haven't been confirmed but it's exciting that we're going down the promised route of signing players with the potential to develop. Of course, they won't all (if any) be successful but hopefully some of them come good and I prefer this approach to signing loads of the familiar faces kicking about the SPF. Changed days indeed. I'm also liking that, although I'm on holiday, these days I can keep up to speed with what's happening rather having to return and find out what happened over the previous fortnight. Showing my age here!

I'd agree with that if you opted in to email correspondence but we have a lot of older supporters who don't do email - my dad certainly wouldn't be responding to an email for his renewal. I renewed mine before I left on holiday (hence the crazy post time) and it'll get sent out to me. No great hurry as far as I'm concerned - as long as I've got it before the first home game!

I heard he signed a pre-contract agreement. As the players are probably still on holiday, I'm sure we are not going to insist he comes back for a few days training. We're also not going to force the other out of contract players to hang about for the sake of seeing out their contract.

We badly need the clear out that's coming but it's going to be difficult to get them gelling as a team for the start of the season.

That article says Johnson has one year left whereas I thought he had two. They also seem to think Rangers are about to pay transfer fees.

I had an Admiral poster on my wall as a boy around that time which showed all the strips they produced, including ours. They were mostly colour variations on the same theme but our white away strip was a cracker, as was the Leeds top. The less said about the brown Coventry away top the better!

I'm looking forward to what sort of a team we have next season but it has to be remembered that our budget was pushed out in January and the signings he will be making will be more in line with a sustainable budget - that should make it interesting.
