  1. But if you were a Killie fan looking for points, those would be the games you would pick.
  2. I'm only able to watch this as my wife's out for the evening. I can only assume you're in a similar situation - it's not exactly Saturday night viewing for a couple!
  3. Having thought at the time that it was a disgraceful decision by the referee, the highlights on Alba just now show the ref was right to give the foul against Ramsden on the edge of the box. Poor challenge that took the man first. Not sure if the yellow card was for the foul, the dissent or a combination.
  4. Don't think they were actually able to win it that night, were they. My memory is playing tricks - I thought that game was 1-1! Was that the year they were in the UEFA cup final and had a huge backlog of games? It's been mentioned earlier but we did prevent them winning 9 in a row against us but that was Ibrox rather than Fir Park.
  5. And we also stopped Rangers winning it at Fir Park in 91 - also extremely enjoyable.
  6. They weren't invited in to the Cooper in the end (although they were the next game) but there were still plenty of them in there. Celtic fans have never accepted we were celebrating a dramatic late win for our team and couldn't care less who won the league. It was utterly fantastic and one of my top moments following Motherwell.
  7. Yes it's potentially a great signing and if he can still bring the drive and determination that first had us excited in that cup tie at Perth then we have definitely strengthened the team. We just need to start playing now and at least be making chances for him and Sutton. I assume he still has his petulant streak and we can expect the usual silly bookings and suspensions when we really don't them. He may have changed but I think it's part of the Scott Mcdonald package.
  8. Assault charges and convictions don't seem to have hampered Paul McGowan's career but clubs seem happy to overlook these things when you've got a bit of talent.
  9. Would hopefully bring an improvement in link up play but I'm pinning my hopes on Pearson being the new signing that will make a difference.

    Dom Thomas

We wouldn't lose him for nothing if we offered him a contract as we'd be entitled to a development fee. However I don't know how long he's been with us - it was previously reported we got him from Celtic but I've also seen reports that he's been with us for donkey's years.
  11. If the new lads were our best players on Saturday then at least the manager has made signings which have improved the team. I'm hopeful that with a few of the injured players returning we can start to pick up some wins. It has to happen very soon though.
  12. I think it would be down to their reputation for giving kids a chance. However, by their own admission, if they're not in the team by the age of 17 or 18, they're not going to make it.
  13. Bobby Jenks has been with us a long, long time. I hope he's been treated properly. He may not have been willing or able to cover the area and games that Baraclough is looking for. Or he just wants his own man.
  14. I immediately read that as the Leanne that has recently made quite an impact on this forum. Wondered if she had personally signed Fraser Fyvie and was keeping him in a cupboard! Then I remembered he had signed for Hibs.
  15. I wonder who we missed out on. There must have been a long list of targets.
  16. I thought those players started at the juniors before being picked up rather than being farmed out by a club.
  17. The Hammell fee was pretty much the money we got for Jim Paterson so we just carried on with a different left back but with a lot fewer stepovers.
  18. Hartley seems to be highly thought of by the Plymouth fans. Much as it's exciting to bring a lot of new players, remember when Malpas brought in the three Irish players - that excitement didn't last long!
  19. Does his contract finish at the end of this season?
  20. Some of the promising youngsters we've had on loan have, as tottenmfc says, been ganting. Some have been ganting but gone on to do very well like Lewis Grabben and some have been fantastic for us like Blackman and Jutkiewic. We do seem to freshening things up though with potentially some pace and creativity which, let's face it,we've all been crying out for.
  21. I have no idea who Leanne is or how she knows what she's posting but I'm enjoying and appreciating the updates. Compare this with previous transfer windows when we've been told the day before that nothing will be happening.
  22. Levein would bring in another defender for Sutton.
  23. I admit they're the most exciting signings but have ICT not brought a lot of players in from this level? It's all about getting players that fit in and can work the intended system. I'm happy to give them the chance but I can't help thinking I would have preferred the budget was used on less players of better quality.
  24. I was getting all misty-eyed for the days of commanding 'keepers when i saw Randolph playing against Ruddy on the Football League show at the weekend. Dan's made some wonderful stops but I get palpitations when crosses come in to our box.
  25. We've also been complaining about not selling our youngsters. It would depend on how much they're offering.
