  1. I'm pretty sure Paul Kinnaird had a chronic gambling problem which was one of the reasons he was punted from Dundee Utd. He had tapped so many of his teammates for money that they spoke to McLean to have him shifted........and of course who would it be easier for Jim to deploy this excrement to.......yip, his unknowing wee brother!! I further believe Kinnaird continued to do the same at Fir Park and received an even worse fate by being sent to St Mirren. At St Mirren he teamed up with another gambling deadbeat in Frank Mcgarvey and I believe they both ended up with gangsters after them!! Wonderful tales of wasted talent.......don't you just love 'em!!
  2. I'm guessing it's not joe mcbride from the 60s as he was one of the finest centre forwards the club ever had. I'd have a wild guess it is joe McLeod the guy means from the 90s. He was particularly shite!!
  3. Have to agree, really difficult ball to deal with. Granted Samson didn't cover himself in glory there but Heneghan let Garner peel off him easily. For me your centre half should be at least able to move his feet better and get some form of head on it, even just to deflect it.
  4. I had the opposite view to many on Saturday as I left Fir Park appalled by our performance and lack of urgency (apart from final 5 mins) The standard of play was shocking, ball in the air half the game, completely rudderless. Players looking disinterested, Pearson looked unfit as did MacDonald but it is clear he can still make a difference when he wants to. Defensively Samson is a poor goalkeeper, Jules is a bombscare and Ferguson (who is better than what he gave us on Saturday) looked lost. His basic timing to clear a challenge free header for the 2nd goal was awful. Louis Moult had some type of tantrum with Robinson in the 2nd half which troubled me, Robinson just shaking his head at him….dont know what was going on there? Moult is playing like someone who’s been tapped up….hopefully this is not the case. The guy Bowman is not a footballer, he looks like he should be working at a chippy. Cadden I thought did well in the first half and totally faded 2nd half….unfit. Only performance which pleased and surprised me was Frear, he worked hard and caused them some problems. I watched the highlights and I thought they made the game look ok, but I just didn’t enjoy the match at all!! Very poor and we are depending on ICT and Accies being worse than us until the end of the season otherwise I’ll be watching Motherwell in the lower leagues for the first time since the mid 80s!! As for St Johnstone, they are a well organised, horrible team to watch!! Sorry for the negativity I just really struggled to see any sign of hope on that park and a lot of the positive comments are baffling,…plus the £29 to get in to watch that was poorly spent!!
  5. One thing about Hughes is that he does seem to hold a genuine affection for Motherwell. No idea why but I've heard him on many occasions on the Radio and TV bigging the club/fans and area up!! I think he is grasping on to the tough working man ethic the town and area had many years ago prior to it being swamped by Junkie/dole-ite/ workshy scroungers. Still don't want him tho - or Robinson - or Valikari or Craigan or Pressley......it must be the first time I have absolutely no excitement or enthusiasm for a new manager. Bring back Davie Hay.
  6. Kenny Shiels? Purely for comedy value!!
  7. Official Statement: Firstly I’d like to apologise to anyone effected by my comments on ethnic cleansing in Rwanda and the comparison to an upcoming football game of relatively no importance!! I would like to re-iterate I fully support my initial comments on non-attendance at the game and general poor football and management on show, however, to anyone thinking I was in anyway serious in my comparison to slaughtering …can I just say…..i wasn’t, it’s just a sick sense of humour which obviously causes offence to some people……I hang my head in shame!! Fondest Regards - Mio
  8. My admiration goes out to any ‘Well fan who is going to Celtic Park on Saturday, there may have been a time in the past I’d have done the same but definitely not now. To fork out 30 bangers to watch our keystone cop players impersonating footballers and a manager who is embarrassing the club on a now weekly basis, is not something I wish to spend my hard earned limited cash on. This encounter may well mirror the slaughtering of the Tutsis circa 1994
  9. Yeah but they needed a rest before the game back then due to their steak and chips pre match meal washed down with a pint of milk and 10 fags!! Now those guys were real athletes!!
  10. This is beyond dire!! What does ainsworth need to do to play!! He's no world beater but he'd run a mock against their defence!! Ryan bowman is a poor mans dougie imrie and Elliot 'gives me the ' Frear
  11. What an absolute howling game!! You just know it's not going to end well for us!!
  12. Once again a massive kick in the baws!!! Really poor game I thought, very frustrating to watch, got slightly better in the 2nd half but 2 poor teams in my opinion and to make matters 100 times worse, those dinosaurs were there for the taking!! Surely Ainsworth coming on as an outlet for us to use was glaringly obvious was it not??? A guy who gives defences problems with his pace and has done well at Ibrox in the past, struggle to understand why he didn't get on. Fed up....miserable...cold.....time to drink
  13. I'm sure the Aberdeen Manchester Utd and Scotland legend will be more than happy that you class him in the same league as NLC legend Hollis!!
  14. Lee Hollis??? For services to standing static on a goal line!! He stood static better than any other goalkeeper I can remember. North Lanarkshire legend!!!
  15. As much as that felt like a thunder strike to the baws at the end, there were many positives today, Cadden was immense, absolutely humiliated Izigueri.... the lad McLean did well and the other youngster McMillan looked a prospect when he came on. I find it difficult to criticise the likes of Lasley because the effort the guy puts in is incredible, however, his limitations become more apparent week after week. It will need sorted. Horrible seeing that bunch celebrate at the end but at least Mcghee has stirred them up by having a dig at their backroom team.....we can always really on McGhee for a petty underhand snipe after a defeat. on an extremely annoying level, Brown......how many cynical challenges does that guy need to make before he gets booked....shocking
  16. Nothing to be scared of. Every team outwith Celtic are average and could beat each other at any given time so I don't see the panic. Players should treat it as their cup final (as they should any cup game) and get tore into a very mediocre team. Hopefully MCGhee wont go down the route of "treating them with respect" and just deal with them like the dinosaurs they are!! Motherwell victory.....lets hope for a good draw in the next round. over 'n' out!!
  17. My enduring memory of Imrie was him leaving the Main stand at Fir park with his wee neddy h*n pals from Lanark as Lionel scored the 2nd goal in the play off game. He was trying to disguise himself by wearing a ridiculous oversized beanie hat but he clearly knew a number of us recognised him.we didn't even need to throw a comment in his direction,, our smugness owned him. Lovely memory!!
  18. Any Motherwell player called up for an U21 or Full International game is a bonus for the club and a confidence booster for the player. Hope he does well, good luck Joe.

    2016/17 Ins & Outs

Really unsure of what all the fuss is about, we bought a guy last year for a bag of waashers, hoping he was an investment. He proves to be a good player albeit ridiculously inconsistent (for a 25yr old) and we get close to £500k for him plus add ons. He’s also burnt all bridges with us by putting in a transfer request (haven’t heard of that since the 1980s) So really we’ve got shot of a guy who doesn’t want to play for us, for a good wedge….thanks for your occasional good game Marvin, all the best…..lets move on!!

    2016/17 Ins & Outs

For a player who wants away i'm guessing we'll cash out quick as apose to paying a guy a wage who's hearts not in it!! I may be wrong but we'll wait and see.

    2016/17 Ins & Outs

Cue the "undisclosed fee" from a League 1 team being accepted. There's no way we'll get any more than £250k now.
