Do not want Nicky Law anywhere near us again. Completely over rated footballer!! Hides way too often and is an absolute bottle merchant!! (Proven in his pathetic performance in our battering of them in the play off games) You cant play in the lower leagues for 3 years and expect to be the same player, it's like a shirt in your drawer you've not worn for 3 years, when you put it on, it doesn't fit and has seen better days!!

I actually agree with having a bit of sympathy for him, any player needs a run of games to see the best of them. I think McGhee must see something in him as well otherwise he'd have been shunned like Taylor etc. I still have hope for him actually, he seems a decent character as well to have about. He just looks a lost soul on the park at the moment which is a difficult situation for him to recover from.

Robinson is just baffling!! This is a guy who has played at a better level than Motherwell and scored goals.....regularly. Also played in a Jamaica team that was good. I'm unsure as to whether he's had some brain surgery or whether he just cant be arsed.........to give him the benefit of the doubt, i'll plump for brain surgery!!

Love Johnny Gahagan. Great watch, such an edgy wee guy and someone who just genuinely loved Motherwell. Legend

The Dundee game was meant to be on BT Sport, will BT be en-route to Fir Park?
-
Brilliant..........Lovely to get it round those horrible rodents!! Mcghee deserves a lot of credit, was happy to see him as our manager and his work ethic is starting to show. He's steadied the team and improved players who were starting to go out to graze!! Excellent 3 points!!

Harrow wasn't the worst....but certainly not the best. Dornan wasn't great, a sort of Tom Hately defender without the dead ball ability. I just recall being mostly miserable that season, some really poor stuff under Wallace, the back to back old firm games that cemented McLairs move to Celtic being about the only highlight.........and Shuggie Edvaldsson could barely run at the point we got him. We Tommy didn't half get stung with his brother with the likes of Gardiner, Murray and Reilly....Jesus!!
-
Bearing in mind that 1983 team was monumentally shite, I don't doubt the crowd was poor!! An over the hill Shuggie Edvaldsson and Aberdeen reject Andy Dornan on show in that pic, Products of the Jock Wallace conveyor belt of mud!!

Give me a game in the rain on a shitty muddy park any day before a game in a gale force wind. Cant remember ever enjoying watching a game in high winds.....total farce!! prefer it to be off tbh.
-
After our shameful debacle of a performance at the end of last season, at an absolute abomination of a ground, i will not be attending!! Good luck to those who go, i'd accept 1-1 right now!!

Not a massive surprise really was it? Sadly Ross County are a better team than us. And the Jags are now above us.........Great day at the office!!

Nicky Law was generally a good player for us, but there were a lot of games he hid when things weren't going for us. I found him infuriating at times. 3 years in the lower leagues at his peak, albeit financially beneficial, has screwed his footballing career. I'd bet if he does sign for a Premiership team again, even though the standard isn't high, it'll take him a full season to get back up to speed, therefore a seasons wage wasted!!

Probably the only bit of class shown during the full game, lovely strike!! Most of us all know Vigurs is more than capable of that, but for every moment like that with him, there was around 30 moments of general disappointment and frustration. I dont blame you for clapping!! I may have clapped too if i wasn't too busy putting my head in my hands screaming FFS!! -
I've never been a fan but his performances are improving. He is however playing at Right Back, the easiest position on a football park, Due to the modern game he gets away with (as do many other full backs all over the world) not being able to defend, tackle, header a ball, but if you can play a pass, have a good engine and support the midfielders you'll get away with it. All the best to him, seems a decent lad, if McGhee can improve him, excellent!!

I always like tuning in to Yogi before we play any of his teams. I often feel he's doing a job interview for the Motherwell job. Ive never heard him say anything bad against us. Last season I remember being slightly embarrassed on the way to the game listening to him on the radio......talking about Motherwell as a "wonderful club" "fantastic working class supporters" type of club that's right up my street.....great tough town, great people!!....jeez, gie it a rest yogi!! as much as l like Hughes, we need the win today, extremely important, I think we'll shade it 1-0 -
Wasn't at the game but reports of Johnson's performance is great news, we all know he's got ability but has looked lost all season. As for Law, never been a fan but if Mcghee can do a Jim Paterson or Mcgarry with him, then I bow to his managerial capabilities. Good point, onwards to mid table security please.

Paul Slane definitely, massive disappointment........utter bellend of a human. I always like Forbes but the lack of pace and more importantly a real lack of confidence was the reason his career slipped, Craig Brown continually dropping him didn't help the lads belief. I remember Paul Mills also, great talent but from a dodgy family and I believe he hit the drink. a couple of players from the 80s, early 90s, Stevie Bryce, another boy with great talent just confidence knocked out him from Tam Forsyth and wee McLean and Marty McBride, just ended up a ned waster from Blantyre.

It was Flamenco, My dad was at the game and they had quite a few players that played in the 1970 world cup. Guys like Gerson etc. St John ran them ragged apparently.

The Celtic fans i know are about: 70% (good guys) want rid of the Green Brigade and find them an emarrassment and hinderence to their club. 20% (questionable beliefs) Think they help the atmosphere at a generally dead stadium. 10% (moronic imbeciles) Believe their political agenda should be listenened to. i always follow the 70 / 20 / 10 % rule with most things to do with Scotland and its population!! 70% ok 20% iffy and 10% cocks.

Paul Lambert in Dortmund Cooper against Aberdeen at Fir Park around 1992....total humiliation of the Dons defence (who were good at the time) for 90mins. I know its laughable but Neil Simpsons debut against Airdrie at Broomfield sticks out, incredible performance......unfortunately never played very well ever again for us. Johnny Gahagan around winter 1981 against Kilmarnock at Fir Park. I'm sure i'll remember many more from the past.........I live my life in the past.

What a great season that was to watch, feel quite sorry for the younger generation that missed it. Tommy Coyne and wee Dougie were just phenomenal. I was always convinced if we had a keeper that year we'd have won the league!!
-
I'm aghast at McGhee's opinion on Louis Laing as a midfielder? was he at the game? I understand completely him not saying anything too negative but that was out and out admiration for someone who had no idea what he was doing. I actually felt sorry for Laing, I think he's a decent big centre half but he was totally lost today......obviously, as he's never played there before!!! it has to be one of the worst celtic sides ive seen as well, awful. Anyway, i'll give it a month to see improvement, as much as it was honking today, I think it'll get better.....it needs to.

Bring back Bara!! Worst 45 mins I've seen all season!! Shown zero!! Lasley, ainsworth and macdonald have to get on.

Dortmund away semi final replay 91 twist & shout day, fir park midweek game at ibrox 93ish?? beat them 2-1.....Doooooougie!!!!!!!! Cup final day 91............bit too nervous to enjoy it fully tho. Any of Davie Hay's 81/82 season......first full season I had a childs season ticket....went to every game with my dad that season home & away...still have the programmes. Hard to put them in order......just been a privilege to have so many good memories connected to Motherwell FC

Bitton and Brown missing tomorrow through injury apparently. Good chance for Pearson & Lasley to stamp some authority down on the centre mid. I trot along not too bothered by Celtic or their fans most of the year but I do like a visit on their forums prior to our games, gets the blood boiling pre-match....they really are a horribly vermin like bunch. I fancy us for a win tomorrow......got the feeling.
