  1. I've met Lennon a few times and he's fine, decent enough guy. I think he just has one of those unfortunate faces that folk want to punch!! Don't wish the guy any bad will at all. I think we might scrape a win through there, going for 1-0 Moult!!
  2. I think we'll be ok with Campbell, he's not the type of player these morons on sportscene and the press tend to gush over, unless they play for the Celtic or sevco of course. A provincial player that digs in is a 'working like' player, end of!!
  3. Although I thought Campbell was excellent and was extremely impressed by his commitment and attitude, I'm going for Hartley, I think we've got a real find here, solid, good distribution, talked all game to kipre. Things at the back totally night and day from last season.

    The Well Society

"The Family"??? What have we got ourselves roped into? What next? Dom Thomas waking up with a Horses head in his bed?
  5. Crawford's form reminds me a bit of Paul Lambert when we got him from St Mirren. Lambert had been sort of written off as not fulfilling his potential and had lost his way. He joined us about the same age as Crawford as well? I think?? I'm sure lambert did reasonably well after leaving us as well
  6. Robbie Leitch might be the next one? He's been promoted into the U23 team and he was included in a couple of Burnleys pre season friendly squads. My mate is a Burnley diehard and says he's well liked down there, apparently Dyche rates him highly. I don't know too much about the lad apart from thinking he looked good in the youth final. Pretty sure Craigan didn't rate him!!
  7. Well that was a mixed bag. First half was downright atrocious. Tanner just won't do, contributed nothing, big Fisher was rank rotten as well but the service he got was non existent (likewise Moult was awful first half) As much as it pains me to say Bowman made a difference in the 2nd half, he's still an eyesore of a player but fair play to him he worked their defence extremely hard and he ran the channels well causing them problems. Wee Campbell was excellent, another hard working wee guy that did well and didn't get bullied like our guys in the first half. Quite concerned by Cadden, worst I've seen him play, hopefully just put it down to being young and having an off game and not having his head turned by another team. All in a great 3 points. Good solid game from Tait and a bit happier with Dunne, I really like Kipre but he will lose us goals this season due to him being erratic and Griffiths looked comfortable!!
  8. I'm not sure we're any better than we were last season? I can see us, Accies, Killie, Ross County and Dundee fighting for survival!!
  9. No point in panicking, SR will be along soon to tell us we had more crosses into the box than St Johnstone!! always good to take the positives.
  10. i'm getting fed up with the fascination about crosses into the box?? It would be fine if we had someone on the end of these crosses but we don't. Last week Tanner in particular just swung the ball in aimlessly all day.....no-one within 10yrds of the ball. These can also be described as stray passes!!
  11. I'd say the same with Fisher, I thought he looked good when he came on and gave their defence problems. I really hope Robinson goes down the line of playing with him rather than Bowman. The guy gives his all but he just doesn't have it for this level.
  12. Not understanding the Tanner love?? I thought he was poor today. Him, Rose and mchugh were our worst performers imo... reasonably happy with most of the performances but delivery in general was poor and finishing was appalling. After a bit of a shaky start Cadden was our best player by a mile I thought!!
  13. We should really be looking to get started with a win against this mob!! Their pre season has been shambolic, They have had 2 competitive games against a team of postmen and civil servants who beat them, they've had a couple of friendlies and Their manager is in over his head!! We have to be more match ready than them!! 2-0 'Well
  14. Definitely disappointing, I think Erwin will be back as a better player than he was with us and will do well at Killie. To quote him, he's a "class above" what we have up front apart from Moult.
  15. It's to do with the wrestler!! Only in the west of Scotland can it be spinned into a 'whit school did you go to' ?nonsense argument!! As for the picture supplied? That looks like Glen Michael? That must've been taken during his spat with palladin on cavalcade!!
  16. He's a poor mans Joe Carson..... I jest, McManus is a decent fit for us, watched a hell of a lot worse than him in my time.
  17. We should drug test him when he arrives back. If he has been taking all that shit it'll still show up in his system. I'm pretty sure in regular employment it's potentially a dismissal. I'd think as he's supposedly an athlete he should be sacked to set an example.......... and also get him off our payroll, it's a cruel game Jacob mate, see you!!
  18. Or in our case a busted urinal with pish all over the place!!
  19. I hate pre-season friendlies......I rarely go to them. I remember going to one at Stirling Albion before and witnessing John Hendry's first ever game for us..........he was utterly dire that game and look how he turned out???......utterly dire!! Using this example maybe I should pay more weight to friendlies!!
  20. I'm not convinced? He's wearing a shell suit, these were out circa 1987-91, also (i think?) reebok football trainers (out around 91-93) That boys looks like a young teenager.......Tommy Boyd....as he was called then, was a first team regular even as early as '87!!! I don't think its him.... I think its a troubling picture of a random child in a toilet!! Does your source have a PVG??
  21. Weird picture?? what is he doing? Is he in a toilet?
  22. I heard that as well from another source, health and safety issues...Murrayfield was mentioned!!
  23. Absolutely delighted with them at Fir Park first day!! Brilliant!! Ideal opportunity to pump a team of Columbian and Mexican misfits before they get a foot hold in the Scottish game......get into them!!
  24. Paul Slane was one of the best youngsters i've ever seen at Motherwell. Such a waste that he was blessed with a brain of a Toad. If he had any sort of pride in himself or half decent attitude he could have had a very good career in the game.....cest la vie, he's not the first and certainly wont be the last to do the same!! With regards Thomas, I know someone who supports QOTS who had said he was excellent last year?? contrary to what has been said on this forum? It would be nice to see him come back with a bit more strength and a final product but I for one am not sure he will. Time will tell, would love to be proved wrong!!
  25. £300k with a sell on.........thanks Ben, cheers for your efforts......bye!!
