Smith and Mchugh are young and i hate being harsh on young players but i dont see either of them winning a permanent place in the first team any time soon!! If we lose Murphy we're struggling!! Dont think many of you would agree but i'd be back down to Blackburn in a shot to get Blackman!! He didnt do well at Aberdeen ok, but who has in the past 20yrs? He was outstanding with us and he still has another 2 yr contract left at Blackburn with slim hope of being a first team player!! He'd guarantee 15 goals for us and would be a good foil for the immobile Higdon!! But lets hope Murphy stays for the season as i think him and Law will be great to watch !!

Best Display by Hammell in years, outstanding today!! I dont think its a coincidence that he played well as Law was in front of him, If Law hadnt ran out of steam in the 2nd half i think he'd have got the man of the match from me!! I remember how Tom Boyd got stale at Fir Park and had been torture to watch until Cooper signed then he became an exceptional full back!! I'm not saying Law is a Cooper but he's a clever ball player with great awareness, i think him and Hammel will give teams a nightmare down the left hand side this season!! Wee Murphy deserves a mention again as he's improving with confidence every week, McCall deserves a bit of credit for this as well i think!!

Not a bad game today, Murphy was the bestplayer on the park i felt, a total standout!! Law looks a tidy, decent player maybe a wee bit lightweight but promising!! Young Halsom looked good when he came on as well!! Downside.....Higdon, reminded me of a Fatter Nick Cusack....i never liked Cusack!! Jennings has put on half a stone and defensively we loooked a wee bit suss at times, but hopefully we should be better than most in the SPL this season!! Well done to the Leeds fans who turned up today, great club, good support!!....There song "Shit Ground No Fans" was a wee bit embarrassing tho, but they had a point!! ha

Good Luck to big Sutton, Never blessed with great ability or pace but always gave his all!! i personally think we've seen his best ever season, not convinced he'll bag more than 6 goals next year!! We badly need a couple of forwards, hopefully McCalll can pull a couple out the bag!!

I was fortunate enough not to be on your bus mate and it sounds like one you should maybe avoid in future. I was in the main stand area looking out and listening over the 'well fans who were great, didnt hear any bile getting chanted "from our end" and i thought we were brilliantly behaved. Only saw 1 Union Jck with "war office" written on it which was swiftly removed. All in all great day out apart from performance and result!!

Never been his biggest fan but thought Hateley was excellent today, worked hard and kept posession well, didnt really put a foot wrong. Also Craigan(also not my favourite) and Hutch played well, Jenno good in the 1st half, 2nd half not so good ..he looked fecked!!

Felt sorry for some of our players today, gave their all but quite a few were off the pace....possibly being rested didnt help and i think a few froze a bit, annoying as Celtic were there for the taking as they are not that good!! Felt particularly bad for Hammill, he worked his arse off but he is not a Midfielder and never will be and for McCall to stick him in a position he's never played in, in a Final, was in my opinion a Huge error!! This ticket fiasco has been a bit of a joke!! Supporters not getting family section tickets, forking out more for theri kids and then more tickets being allocated!! No offence to the folk in the office, they are doing the best they can but i think its ridiculous that Mr Boyle's brother has been put in charge of our ticket sales!! talk about nepotism!! To much of this resting player nonsense and worrying about them being fit for the cup final, exactly the same tactics as what Derek McInnes did with St Johnstone prior to us pumping them in the semi!! I'm gutted i wasn't at the game today, just caught up with the highlights and the actions of Mr J Boyle. I have to say as a Motherwell supporter through and through i am disturbed by how gay our chairman looked!! I'm always critical about one thing or another but i cant complain today, all worked their arses off and deserved to at least take it to extra time, i felt we were teh better team today. The whole set up just stinks!! i congratulate the reps from Dundee Utd and Killie for standing up and coming up with a better more radicle solution to the durge that is Scottish Football at the moment. Ive watched Motherwell for 30 yrs and have never been so bored by the game and the people in charge, this includes the people in charge of our own club!! Football and more importantly football fans have changed, i have a 6 yr old who plays and likes playing football but trying to get him to fir park is a total chore, he says its too cold and miserable!! as do the majority of weans (our future fans) feel!! Maybe kids are not as hardy as they have been in the past and are too used to being pampered but this is the way of things!! We are crying out for summer football, seasons from March to November, and for the years there are World Cups/ Euros, start a few weeks earlier and end a few weeks later!! If anything if we do qualify as a nation the players will be half way through the season, sharp and not jaded at the end of an arduous season!! Sky i'm sure would be back in the equasion as they would have around 4 months of football free telly as the english season would close, crowds would go up, kids would attend in their strips, i can only see positives from summer football!! Ditch the 2 leagues of 10 idea, a greedy idea for the bigger clubs, 16 team league in summer where young players can come through will work !! my 30 yrs of supporting may be gone due to my apathy along with many others i know who support many other clubs!!
