pretzel Posted August 10, 2024 Report Share Posted August 10, 2024 I know Hastie had a purple patch for us but I thought he would have at least been able to maintain playing at a decent enough level. I don't know if it was a confidence thing or what but his direct running in that inverted winger role was a joy to watch but when he came back on loan I don't think we seen any of that. 25 year old and I think he has served 10 clubs. Robinson knew how to get the best out of Hastie, but wingers seems to have gone out of fashion in recent years. He may well have had a better career if he had stayed on at Fir Park for another season - or he may have faded once the opposition figured him out. We had some decent talent in the squad during that Covid season but Robinson seemed to lose the plot onwards from the incident where he got lifted.
