Kmcalpin
Classless comments from SK and cynical timing from the Sun. Was it recorded last week? The club will be most unimpressed. I had thought that, irrespective of his contract conditions, the club might have paid him a little sweetener, in view of the"trauma he suffered". However, I think he has more or less confirmed by his tone that he received nothing. His comments won't impress any prospective employers in the Scottish game. That said I think other clubs will already know him. In contrast Stevie Frail behaved impeccably. Good luck to him.
mio
I had always stuck up for SK even throughout his disastrous run of games last season and most of this season but for him to bring this out in the sun on the day we appoint a new manager is really poor form, especially when he’s had almost a month to make a proper statement. This is one big FO to the fans really.
Electric Blues
I have no idea if the club offered Kettlewell any financial settlement, despite him being the one to chuck it, but if they did I hope they’ve cancelled the cheques now!
grizzlyg
So Stuart. You are saying you can be an aggressive person yet you are angry about people being aggressive? Sun reporter is so irritating also. We move on. Had enough of this. How does he cope in next managerial job when fans give him verbals? All clubs have them

mio
I do feel sorry that his wife had to take their kid out of the stadium at the st Johnstone cup tie but I think she was doing the kid a favour. I wish my mother would have taken me out the ground that day too and I’m 50yrs old. 1
joewarkfanclub
Really poor interview from Kettlewell. Lost a lot of respect for him after that. Really buddy journo piece trying to get his side of the story out and big him up on the day our new manager is announced is pretty classless. He could have been remembered as a fairly decent Motherwell manager who ran his course and fell on his own sword. But he has burned his bridges there with that piece.

grizzlyg
Final point regarding all of this. He still can't grasp that the club and fans stood by him after that horrendous run last year, any other club would have punted him there and then. Plus why mention that a few folk have had to leave the club? Who we talking about Stuart? Alexander only one I can think of and yes some of the abuse he got was totally unacceptable. As for The Sun, I hope Caldwell is on the phone to them today but then again should just be dealing with Michael W and helping him settle in. Last I am discussing SK. bring on the Wimmer revolution
Spiderpig
I see Kris Doolan has been sacked by Partick Thistle, I assume that Kettlewell will be put forward as a front runner for the job, with all those nice well mannered jags fans.

Orinoco
For a guy that's worked within the media in the past, his latest actions are non to bright. Sometimes it's best to keep a dignified silence. It's obvious he just could not cope with criticism from fans, and perhaps players and jumped in the knowledge he had a rolling contract to tide him over til his next job. We gave him a platform. He did well upto the point that he ran out of ideas and stomach to continue and perhaps tarnish his earlier good work. I expect he will rock up at Thistle sporting trendy ear plugs! joewarkfanclub
Watched the whole thing now, and although I do have an element of sympathy over the family issues, its just so wrong on many other levels. Comes across as if he felt very under appreciated for all the work that he did and the sacrifices he made re his family life and thats all very well and good. Thats a principled decision you make as an individual. But dont make it about personal abuse of family members, which seems to be increasingly less the case the more you hear. It wasnt so much an interview as a PR piece by the journalist. Trying to paint it as there being a specific problem at Motherwell is beyond the pale. I presume Alexander is one being referenced and that the other office holders were the ex Chairman and his buddy. Absolutely no context given and just left hanging like a bad smell. Everyone knows that the behaviour of certain individuals at the football can be unpleasant and shouldnt be tolerated. But it happens at every club and is unfortunately part of the territory. It doesnt make it right. Just a fact that requires to be dealt with. If you are unable to deal with it, maybe being a football manager isnt for you?

Really gone down in my estimation now , on same day we appoint a new boss, all a bit tacky.

We’ll find out next year when he’s working at Arnold Clark. “tell you what Scotty, this is a great wee run around, I built it myself in my workshop, I’ve spent 20hrs a day working on it. I’m not going to take any advice on it from anyone who hasn’t dedicated their life tampering with a 1.2 engine…… “ ….it’ll work a treat for 6months and then it’ll be a right off and he’ll blame Arnold Clark” 2
Richie
One final thing. He notes his family (apparent Rangers fans) were in hospitality at the Aberdeen game. I was hospitality as well and there were cheers going up when Rangers scored (Game was on the TV). I was a bit bemused at the time, but makes more sense now, although could be circumstantial.
wellup83
He's old news now. It's sad how it ended but the club will be in a far better position for his reasons for leaving then Stuart Kettlewell will. How can he possibly take on another managerial role in football after the reasons he gave for chucking it? He's thrown himself under the bus in my opinion.
