I’d need to see the penalty/VAR shout again but on first viewing it looked a nailed on penalty. We are just so depressingly ineffective as a team. We go from Blaney to Butcher to Casey to O'Donnell who isn't good enough or quick enough to keep the ball and can't handle the pressure so he just floats it down the line to nobody and we give the ball away. Time after time after time. A very likeable guy but for whatever reason is awful these days. We can't keep the ball with him in the team and if we don't keep the ball we don't win football games. As for Wilkinson, what does he actually offer? He's not quick, he's not skillful, he doesn't have a moment of magic in him, for a big guy he can't win headers. Another that is just mince. We have sacrificed three in the middle so we can have two big men playing way out wide. This doesn't increase our attacking presence one bit, if anything it hinders it because Biereth is now isolated. Three in the middle with two up top who are close to each other would serve us far better. As for the two in the middle, Slattery has a bit of fight about him sometimes but that's about it. Someone posted Kettlewell's record earlier as to why he shouldn't be sacked. We are now 8, 9, 10, whatever it is without a win after today, he makes strange choices like this weird front 3 line-up and continually playing O'Donnell, his summer signings have been really awful. I'm grateful he kept us up last year but we are a poor team with no game plan, awful team selections, strange formations, terrible summer signings and without a win in months. His time is up. The latest theory is insufficient contact to award a pen, and Boyce didn't help himself by rolling about holding his head, when the minimum contact was to the chest.
