Ah so its still King Louis.

Would fancy him to beat the league record but for the season he's gonna have to do pretty well.

But who knows, maybe there is a last day of the season hat trick against St Johnstone in the future!

I stopped commenting on games I don't go to a while back, which is most away matches.

Not saying everyone should do that but I just don't feel comfortable having an opinion on something I didn't actually see for myself.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with commenting on or offering an opinion on a game you weren’t personally at, it’s more the types who like to get arsey and snide with match going fans over opinions and views expressed that they don’t like. We’ve seen it on here for years, weeyin, Spiderpig, SteveDiggle, eddiemunster…. all big mooths trying to lecture and pontificate fans who have been at Fir Park more than the four of them put together in recent times.

You know folk that do go to games can regularly talk as much shite as anyone else. Some more than others . Why go if it makes you miserable.

Whatever happened to Steve Diggle? Always enjoyed his contribution to Steelmen Online.

I think the contrary views is what makes the forum successful.

Enjoy your contributions too MJC even if I don't always agree. It livens things up nicely.

Well done to Kettlewell and the team for getting us over the line. Motherwell maintain their top flight status yet again. Remember one of only three teams in Scotland to maintain that very proud record.

All involved did really well to turn the pre Christmas form around. Would have liked a Cup run and top 6 but survival is the marker for success every year.

Can't wait for the new Kettlewell out thread in late August!!! Meantime we can relax a bit.

I didn’t say that it did, I was merely making an observation that the more vocal “faithers” of the support, particularly on here tend to be the ones who don’t actually attend games. I’m not interested in the reasons they don’t or can’t go, that’s their business, but it’s a bit rich when these types get all sanctimonious and start riding about on their high horses with fans who actually were at the game.

So you want to gatekeep the gatekeepers? Sounds about par for your course

I've been to more games than you, travelled more miles to watch games than you (3000 this season alone) and, as a MFC TV subscriber, get to watch every second of every match home and away (and rewatch multiple times if the mood takes me).

You have literally no idea how many times I've been to Fir Park this season, or what away games I've been to this year or any other year.

So by those self-composed metrics, my opinion is much more valuable than yours and you need to get off your high horse until you've seen more matches live than me?

Or perhaps trying to measure whether someone's opinion is worth more than others is pointless BS and we're better focusing on discussing footballing matters on a football discussion board and leaving the sanctimony to the OF fans.

As the late Jimmy Sanderson used to say on radio Clyde super scoreboard " were you at the game caller" and never listened to any shite from those who answered no.

Not as easy as that these days though all you need is a dodgy firestick and you can nearly be at the game from your living room and rant as much as you like with nobody to hear you....there's always a bonus 👍

Of course you get a much better atmosphere and match day experience at the game. You do, however, often get a better view and slow motion replays on the MFC stream.

Last time I was in The John Hunter Shed I had the pleasure of craning my neck to see around the pillar every time the play came down the Mclean end.

Much more leg room on my sofa, too, and safe standing if needed.

As far as I'm concerned it doesn't matter if you go to games or watch it on the TV.

If you support Motherwell then you're a fan the same as everyone else and entitled to your opinion and to say anything you want within reason.

I know that I’ve been to more Motherwell games in person than you have in the last decade. I don’t miss home games, you live on the other side of the Atlantic, it doesn’t take a genius.

I also get the impression from your contributions on here that you are an arrogant, condescending and extremely boring individual who loves an argument. You very rarely discuss the team, the players, games themselves. Instead you seem to prefer to fire cheap, crass and annoying remarks to posters who regularly attend games. Why, only you will know, but I think it’s pathetic.

Therefore I will take no lectures from you on supporting Motherwell.

If you've got that impression, then it's obvious you've never spent 60 seconds in my company.

Like I said previously, we can all make up metrics to prove we are a "better fan" and it's all pointless BS.

Football has always been entertainment for me. The pre-game chat during the week, the banter with mates during the game, and the post-mortem with friends and family after the game. The results are almost incidental to the social interaction.

My opinions on here are worth exactly the same as everyone else's. The square root of hee haw. I've be around the internet too long to expect anyone to listen, never mind care, and I know for a fact I know nothing for a fact.

I see this place as a virtual pub, were fans from all over the place can gather and talk bollocks to each other over a pint, and then go home and forget about anything that was said by anyone.

It's just a game I enjoy, and I'll never take it (or here) too seriously
