Mccus28
Its quite quiet on the Miller front. I think that leaves us in a pickle.... 1- He plays pre-season but wont really be part of the plans as he will be gone 2- he gets injured and doesn't go anywhere I hate to say it but the quicker he is gone the more settled the team will be
weeyin
Don't think it's a huge deal, tbh. I'd imagine he'll train with us until his move is finalised, but the manager will be trying out Miller-less formations in the early matches if he's still around. I would not be surprised if his move isn't finalised until August, especially if it is overseas with all the additional red tape involved. If the club gets no bids then he carries on as normal and if that happens I've no doubt he will sign a new deal to protect his own and the clubs interests. He will move on but it will be at a time that suits him and the club and Until then he will be an integral part of the team.

We've really got to get him out the door in the coming weeks

Turnbull’s example? That subject has been done to death and no amount of revisionism changes it. David Turnbull extended an existing deal for David Turnbull. Club benefitted from pre-agreed deal with Celtic. Thats not a slate on the player either.

As I said, I'd be very surprised if he done that - it doesn't really make any sense for a player to do it. We can't tie anyone's arms up their backs and force them to buy Miller, but hopefully we've got club officials using their contacts to get a move up and running. I'm slightly concerned about the lack of movement so far, as we could be doing with the money to be fired straight into a project.
Big Stall
Cant see him signing any new deal without a guaranteed release clause, and while that may be fine for us with most players, Miller is a potential goldmine. Setting a clause too low does us no favours. Too high & he wont sign. Hypothetical clearly but then we have the issue of wages. No idea what the lad gets but given his age & our budget youv got to expect <£1500 per week. Would he really sign something like then when he can already 'probably' command upwards of £20k per week? The lad will be offski
joewarkfanclub
Have we just exchanged our new manager angst with Lennon Miller angst? I get its the close season and there isnt much to talk about, but no need to be getting worried The boy has an agent who will be making sure everyone in Europe is aware of his availability, over and above the clubs communications. The kinda clubs with the money to buy him dont have League Cup games to prepare for in 2 weeks. They will be in no rush.
