Miller's deal is Bologna, btw. Guaranteed. You heard it here 1st  2nd  273rd.

On? The? Money?

Seeing as you're self congratulating for getting one right, you'll need to take the hit on this one!

ps I'm fully aware it was tongue-in-cheek. For clarity, so is this

The wellest wishes in the world to Lennon as he moves on - not just following in the footsteps of McTominay et al, but showing that Motherwell can be a key brick on the path for youngsters with ambition beyond the Old Firm.

Just a shame both Udinese tops for this season are absolute humpty.

I have to say, the way Lennon has left the club absolutely oozes class. He’s made a wee video message, put stuff out there on social media and I now see his family have added stuff to social media too thanking the club and fans etc for everything.

When you see how some others have left, not so much us but other “provincial” teams, it’s a breath of fresh air. Should be held as an example to others how to leave a club….. the £4.75m does help as well right enough 🤣

I wish to thank Lennon Miller for being such a loyal servant and class act. He has been a total ambassador  for  Motherwell and as others have said he's an inspiration for others that Motherwell can be the place to make your mark as a player and go on to clubs bigger than the old firm, and in bigger leagues. Thanks. Hope to see you back some day.

Detlef Esapa Osong rumour.

Loan from Nottingham Forest

21 years old, Forward has only made 8 senior appearances since 2023 and has never scored a goal, hardly inspiring stats. For me if think we need someone with a bit more experience if the rumours are true.

Biereth had 12 senior appearances (on loan) and 2 goals before he joined us, so sometimes it works out.

I agree, however, we need someone (or someone else) with a bit more first team experience.

Certainly failed to score from a limited number of games on loan from Forest. ...only 400 minutes in total from what I can find.  At first glance uninspiring.  Prior to that he averaged almost a goal a game at youth level.... 75 appearances 35 goals plus 9 assists. Not as impressive stats as Biereth  admittedly and his career does seems to have slowed down since he signed his first pro contract.

That happens to many 17 year olds though and only an exceptional talent would walk straight in to any first team.. He must have something if Forest gave him a longer term contract at age 17. Maybe worth a look but probably not an immediate solution up front for us. Said the same about Biereth though,  and he proved me wrong. Probably not costing that much in wages so that's a plus.  If it happens that is.

As a raw prospect to gamble on, he's probably a suitable replacement for Sule if he’s going to be out for a while. But even before Sule was injured, I felt we needed competition for Stamatelopolous/cover in case he got injured. I still figure we'll be looking for someone to fill that role. The plan B at the moment is move Maswanhise inside and play Said on the wing. I have to figure Jens will be looking for a better Plan B...

We need a regular starting striker with proven league experience, for the league campaign not a project, I am sure we can do better.

Agreed. I am ok if this is striker 3 with a more inspiring permanent signing to come.

Kind of the point I (and wunderwell) was making. We need someone more first team ready but also a replacement for Sule in terms of someone as a third striker, another option. Going with only two strikers in the squad is risky but don't see us having three 'proven' strikers in the squad...

Ronan Hale from Ross County fits the bill. Suprised he has not moved on yet…

We need to sign a proven starting striker and bring in another project on loan, especially with Stama looking like a dud and part-time crock, and Sule out for who knows how long. I’m sure JBA is on it.

Totally agree, Hale fits the bill perfectly although he is apparently attracting interest from down south.

He would be a great addition to the team imo

Ross Co were looking for ~£1m for Hale I think, so a non-starter.

Id doubt they would get that for him in fairness (although I could be wrong)

What they want and what they get a 2 different things

You wont know if you dont ask, you could put any price you like on a player but its irrelevant if nobody is interested.

I suspect as others have mentioned if he leaves the fee will be undisclosed ie nowhere near 7 figures.
