21 years old, Forward has only made 8 senior appearances since 2023 and has never scored a goal, hardly inspiring stats. For me if think we need someone with a bit more experience if the rumours are true.

As a raw prospect to gamble on, he's probably a suitable replacement for Sule if he’s going to be out for a while. But even before Sule was injured, I felt we needed competition for Stamatelopolous/cover in case he got injured. I still figure we'll be looking for someone to fill that role. The plan B at the moment is move Maswanhise inside and play Said on the wing. I have to figure Jens will be looking for a better Plan B...

We need a regular starting striker with proven league experience, for the league campaign not a project, I am sure we can do better.

Kind of the point I (and wunderwell) was making. We need someone more first team ready but also a replacement for Sule in terms of someone as a third striker, another option. Going with only two strikers in the squad is risky but don't see us having three 'proven' strikers in the squad...

Ronan Hale from Ross County fits the bill. Suprised he has not moved on yet…

Totally agree, Hale fits the bill perfectly although he is apparently attracting interest from down south.

He would be a great addition to the team imo

Ross Co were looking for ~£1m for Hale I think, so a non-starter.

You wont know if you dont ask, you could put any price you like on a player but its irrelevant if nobody is interested.

I suspect as others have mentioned if he leaves the fee will be undisclosed ie nowhere near 7 figures.

Hello this is Motherwell FC here. We are enquiring about your striker(insert name here) How much to buy him ,please.

Is that the same MFC that just sold their youth player for £4.5 million and their bank account is bursting. Lets just say think of a number and double it , yous can well afford it .

Seriously , the manager is bound to have ideas for a long time on who would be available and who he would like to sign when the Miller money came in. It will be interesting to see how it goes in the next weeks.

Great news

I think we have the basis of a good team and we should be looking to make sure some more of them are signed up for a few years so we either keep them or make some money on them. Of course we do need to add to our squad, hopefully with at least a couple worthy of being starters. Not sure what JBA’s contract is but it should be at least a three year one. And reviewing it at end of each year to consider extension.

Fraser Hornby at Darmstadt would be worth a punt if available at reasonable money

If he could capture his Scotland U21 form, he'd be great, but never seems to have quite fulfilled his potential.

Not convinced about Hale. He had a good season with Murray alongside him but I watched their game against St Johnstone on Friday night and he was totally ineffective.

Glad it's not just me. Never been overly impressed by him...

Was last season not his first season with county? Murray had left by then

Having watched Hale tear it up in the NIFL for a few years before going to County last year, I can honestly say he's one of the most exciting players I've seen in the flesh when he's on his game. Loves a long ranger, can bend a free-kick like the best of them and has great spatial awareness to boot. If anyone else in Scotland gets him, I'll be surprised, but would love to see him in claret and amber.

Cliftonville looked so far off it without him in their side last season and by the look of it, it'll be a while before there's another talent like him over here ready to jump the water.

Hale has scored 104 goals in 208 matches since 2020 spanning 3 teams and his stats suggest he is quite an impressive player

Oh, I know his numbers are impressive. But he's never stood out when I've watched his teams play. But then for years, any time I watched Spurs play, Harry Kane was shite. His numbers suggest that wasn't always the case...
