Not that much really  and when he is in the NZ squad playing he's not available for us. Then  for at least three games after will be knackered with the travelling to the other side of the world and back. Total games he could miss for us when he's called up would be five or six. Not to mention disruption to our team formation when he's missing , why couldn’t he just be Welsh.

There is an international break. We have no games when he's away with NZ

As others have mentioned, there’s an international break. With 36 caps already, he’s well used to international travel and the demands of balancing it with his club schedule. International recognition for our players is always a positive.

You've decided he is shite. As have one or two others. You may turn out to be right. But I would say based on the body of evidence to date, it is inconclusive.

He spent most of last season injured. He is now on his 3rd manager in a year and a brand new style of play.

If we get to December and he/we dont look any better in the goals for column then you might be proved right. Until then, how about we cut him some slack and give him a little support?

He’s got plenty of support, but it takes more than that to polish an expensive, unreliable turd. As you say, we’ll find out in December whether he’s actually scoring goals or more likely just warming the bench or the treatment table.

He's flying back not walking, so i don't think sitting in a plane for a few hours will tire him out enough to miss 3 games.

Rumours that our Andy Halliday is on his way to Falkirk.

That would mean we are at least 2 light in the midfield. If true hope his replacement is in door before he gets to move on.

We are getting a bit light everywhere on the pitch tbh. What I don't want is just tons of dross coming in just before the window closes.

I will be shocked if Balmer isn't on his way out aswell we really need to start getting first team starters in the door.

Wouldn't be surprised, they need some experience in there. We do have a large squad, but a light first XI, so can see a few outgoings in the next couple of weeks, whether permanently or on loan.

With McGhee and Johnny K due back, and Hendry joining, we are a little stronger, but I'd still expect 2-3 more incomings.

Presumably on loan? Ceertainly he doesn't sit well with our current style.  I wouldn't want to offload him though until a replacement was in the door.

Sale according to he knows most things about Motherwell before me, my brother. He said the same thing -expect to see other bodies in first

I never wanted halliday at the start but I'll admit he has done us a decent turn.if the manager thinks he can get a player in that's better suited to the way we play then he has to take it,at this stage of the window any players leaving will ideally be replaced before moving on.

And sorry if this is the wrong place to post - Dougie Imries daughter died yesterday - lots of clubs have come out in support including Motherwell - wish them all the best.

Not a fan of his, terribly sad news though. Born prematurely and she didn't make it.
