Thanks. I am on the ball as always. Completely missed that.

To be fair, a lot has happened this summer. I forgot about Charles-Cook about two days after we signed him. Someone suggested to me how he might not be fit enough to start vs Killie and I was like "I forgot we signed him"...

Sun reports Wesh has now signed a season long loan deal. Medical passed.

Let’s hope the medical staff have got thing right this week, one CB apparently failed his medical on Saturday (unknown medical history)and Welsh (said by some on here to be prone to injury) passed his today.
If Welsh is on the physio’s bench by Friday I’m going to think they’re at it and just keeping themselves in a job :)

I think we are keeping Halliday for the back up left back. He’s played there in the past and might not be the worst option.

While I'm not a fan of full backs playing on their wrong side, SOD has played at left back quite a few times and could no doubt provide cover there too.

Yeah he’d probably do fine there too. Not to be disrespectful of the position but It is the easiest position on the park imo. Any decent midfielder or defensive minded player could play there and not look that out of place.

That's taking a huge and unnecessary risk. What if Longelo is out for several games?

Then SOD plays for several games.

It would be great to have a replacement for every starting spot, and have each replacement to be match fit and ready to go, with a performance level equal to the players they are replacing - but that's not always possible for a club our size.

it's also quite possible we had more targets that fell through, and we'll just have to make do until the next window.

Based on what I saw in the early part of the season, however, SOD at left back would be better than Wilson at this stage.
