Assume he’s starting then? Hope he has a couple of howlers 😂

Yep, he starts. No surprise i suppose

I might have fancied Talbot if they had played at their own ground but they’ve sold their sole and cashed in

I think it was a police decision,  they are basically admitting they cant handle the Celtic support .

When you take into account the important games he couldn't play in, is it worth bringing him back?

I think that’s a fair question. He is used to how we play and the system but he’d be out for our cup games and 2 games (one hopefully in the top 6) against Celtic.

As much as I like Welsh and rate him I think I’d much prefer bringing in another centre half if that’s possible

Surely not, do they not know they are the best fans in the world.

damning considering Aberdeen took a couple of thousand to Darvel.

Aye, if there was only 1000 away fans, they might have had to actually arrest some of them.

When there's 10,000 they can avoid arresting them in the name of "crowd control"

Or a transfer.

The rule is that you cant play official games for more than 2 clubs in a season, so if there's a transfer he'll be on the sidelines for his new club.

If you're going to get horsed off of the OF, you might as well get a decent pay day and set your club up for a few seasons. Not very romantic, but the brass at Auchinleck would have saw pound signs the second that draw was made.

Based on what we’ve seen so far I think JBA’s next step will be better than SPFL.
maybe he’s the new Alex Ferguson, take Motherwell to Scottish and European glory then off to the EPL. 😃

Take a deep breath.🤞

He couldn't play for any other club who signed him this season.

Fizoxy saying the same thing. I thought that was just with respect to loans, didn’t realize it applied regardless of Loan or transfer. Is it applicable world wide or just in Scotland?

It's a FIFA rule - Article 5 apparently, if you want to track it down for read.

You can only play for 2 clubs in a season.

(You can be registered for a maximum of 3 in a season, but you can only play for 2).

There is so much assumption that Manwanhise will go to one of the OF. Our media think the OF are the centre of the world. Plenty English clubs will be looking and a couple of rumours that Birmingham City are going to test our resolve with a £4.2 million bid.

A bid of that order would be very hard to ignore because no matter his performances until seasons end its unlikely to generate a return of £4.2 million. Sure his valuation could go higher if we were very lucky.  A cup win wouldn't return that kind of money. A European run could but would need to involve group stage qualification and that's a huge "IF".

Its a real dilemma for the club should these kind of figures materialise, glad I don't need to make the call.

If Birmingham come in with an opening bid of 4.2M we'll push them to 5 I'd think. I love Maswanhise as much as the next person but we're not turning down a 5M pound offer for a player we got for free 18 months ago.

Other than us or Celtic the only teams he can play for before the summer now are those whose season is just about to start, so MLS, League of Ireland or one of the Scandinavian leagues.

I think he'd have to be sold to them, though - not on loan.

The FIFA rule says you have to complete your contractual obligations at your previous club before you can play for another one with "overlapping seasons" - so his current contract would need to be terminated by a transfer.

Or, at least, that's how I was reading it.
