Apparently declined €5m for Miller, holding out for €6m/£5m equivalent.

Let's hope we don't get too greedy, these big clubs will have no problem waiting till next summer and get to sign him for nothing if required.

Yup that is a good point.   Totally different figures but I remember us turning down £750k for Mark Reynolds and we ended up selling him for £100k and a 6pk of wotsits!

I am starting to get the feeling this is going to drag on and on Celtic will come in with a 4 million bid during the last few days of the window and that will be that.

It's all well and dandy holding out for the right fee but it's pretty important we sell Lennon this window come January unless he has turned into prime Messi it's fire sale time or even leaving us on a free in the summer.

If these clubs wanted him they would have stumped up the fee easy I am starting to think it's the add on's that might be the stumbling block here.

Clubs just don't "stump up". You see that at every level where they often go through multiple rounds of negotations with club and then player's management.

We just don't notice it as much when it's not our player.

Even when a bid hasn't been accepted yet, managers and agents will be in discussions with potential suitors so the personal terms will be ready to sign.

Also don't forget, that most countries don't have the insanity of a league cup at the start of pre-season, and so conduct business a little bit later.

And finally, of course, MIller gets the final say on where he goes, so even if we accept a bid from a club, it doesn't mean they will get him.

Given his history of making good career choices so far, I'd be surprised if his next step isn't also ideal for him.

I am shocked more Championship clubs haven't tested the water  think he would do well in that league and a move to a Championship does well and we have sell ons it's like printing money.

I think that Udinese, Torino, Como and whoever else can probably outbid Partick Thistle and St Johnstone.

Pretty obvious he wants to go abroad then 🙄
