wellfan
Surely these would be his top picks: https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaurants-g551774-zfp19-Motherwell_North_Lanarkshire_Scotland.html
joewarkfanclub
I guess its personal choice and all a bit of fun, but Joe Wark at right back. Seriously? Bad enough the great man never won a Scotland cap, but not making a Motherwell fans greatest ever 11 in his natural position is beyond the pale!
joewarkfanclub
Looking at Tams team, its clearly all guys he saw play, which is fair enough, as its always difficult to compare players of different generations. But given that Im the same age as him, I reckon either of my teams would scud his! Sieb Nijholt Krivokapic Martin Wark McFadden Lambert Russell Cooper Graham Pettigrew Randolph Corrigan McCart Craigan McKinnon McCormack POD McAllister Murphy Arnott Coyne Notable mentions to Ally Maxwell, George Burley, Shaun Hutchison, Stevie Hammell, Vic Davidson, David Turnbull, Peter Marinello, Higdon, Sutton, Moult & KVV.
mio
Tam solidifies his complete lack of footballing knowledge with his selections and positions. anyway out of his bunch, I’d only agree with pettigrew, odonnell and cooper

well_said
I can only assume the Boyd he has picked is Jim Boyd who we signed from clyde in 1978 and not that two faced snake bastard Tom that played a few games for us.

I was delighted when I watched Tom Boyd lift the Scottish Cup. Could not care less what he said or did after that, and certainly don't get offended by anything a footballer says. They are not typically blessed with deep insight or even common sense.
Kris-A-Goalda
In my tenure watching the club, the players who've brought me most joy watching would be: Randolph Corrigan Craigan Martin Hammell Lambert McFadden Ojamaa Turnbull Moult Arnott Subs: Ruddy, Hateley, Hutchinson, Law, Pearson, McDonald, Higdon

The main thing about Boyd that upsets Motherwell fans is that when he talks about his career it started when he signed for Celtic, the Fir park years and the 91 Cup final have been erased from his memory and its got worse over the years. As has been stated previously hes an obnoxious tosser.
texanwellfan
I’m going with the old 2-3-5 set Up and not a lot of thought and even less memory 😳 Randolph Watson Wark Aitken W. McCallum McCart Marinello Hunter Pettigrew Graham Cooper
Throughthelaces
I'm it's interesting seeing everyone's list I'm a bit younger and my best 11 would only go back 16-17 years so I feel mine would look so out of place here compared to some of you guys. I'm also fond of a hard worker or cult hero ask my friend who gets the fear when I mention some of who I think some of the better players we've had are. mio
Sieb nigholt krivokapic Martin wark mcfadden Odonnell Graham cooper pettigrew coyne subs Brian McLaughlin, arnott, mcallister, rab mckinnon lambert. there’s loads more good players I can think of but would have loved to see how much creation we would have with Graham and cooper feeding both coyne and pettigrew. weeyin
Marinello and McAllister would be in mine, plus Wark, Russell and Cooper. Graham and Pettigrew too. Probably McCrae in goals. The others I will need to think about.

This is the thing with this kind of list. Is is Best or Favourite? Is Boyd better than McKinnon and Hammell? Possibly (although I think there's a case to be made McKinnon was better) but Boyd's post Motherwell dismissive attitude towards us probably encourages people to pick others ahead of him... Krivokapic and Martin are two of the best defenders we've had in my time watching Motherwell but I have more a fondness for Nijholt and Aldred. It's an impossible task to be even handed about it... I agree like for me in my time Hartley and McHugh make my list as well as Hammel. For me Hartley is probably the best player I think I've seen at Motherwell. I acknowledge we had aldred who was fantastic in his own right shortly after Hartley. But the pair couldn't play well together. I think welas the 13/14 season I started coming regularly to games so my reference point isn't as broad as some. But I do favour the hard workers so I find these types of posts interesting
