We were never going up to Aberdeen and knocking them out of the Cup no matter who they signed. I can only imagine the state you'd be in if we had lost any matches this season. Do you genuinely not get any pleasure out of watching players and systems evolve week by week? Or are you only interested in having a finished product immediately available that is going to win every game?
wellgirl
We are not all fur coat and no knickers. We are a team that have had three managers in the last year and who were struggling under Kettlewell for a few reasons. Players that were clearly struggling and lost confidence to boot. We were candidates for relegation at one point last season and we stayed up. The team still has to gel - that's clear. It's also clear that every player is playing for the manager and trying their best. Even Ward who has made mistakes that cost us. The negativity on here is staggering at times

Of course I do and I have enjoyed a lot of our play so far this season and stated already that it is so much more refreshing that what we have seen in recent years where there has been virtually zero football in the team. There are positives and encouraging signs but we’ve yet to see it ‘bear fruit’ in that we have played some good stuff but failed to register a win yet and there are still question marks over the team and the manager which is perfectly reasonable and to be expected for us and especially at this stage in a new regime. I don’t see us going up to Aberdeen and getting our first win in a Cup quarter final, but hopefully it comes soon as the longer we go without getting it it becomes a bigger thing for us. Any reason why we couldn't get that first win against Dundee?
wellsince75
For the first time in many years there's very positive signs. The best football I can recall us playing in +40 years, as good as we were in the 90s with McLean and also under Mcghee v1. We have a very good manager, the best squad in years with people who can actually play football. There's a few teams that will be on the wrong end of spanking from us. Aberdeen may well be one of them.
