I just wonder what kind of state our squad will be in come Saturday morning. Certainly, Stephen Welsh should be a welcome returnee. Will Sparrow, Hendry, Just and Slattery be fit enough to feature even from the bench? How fit will TJ and RCC be after their international travels. Hopefully too, no more training injuries.

Per JBA interview sounds like we should have a stronger squad for this game with Sparrow, Just and Hendry in full training all this week. I think Slattery probably still missing but hopefully back for game after this.
Falkirk are no mugs but I’d love to see us hammer them but more than happy to win by a single goal, hopefully maintaining our entertaining football.

For all the plaudits we are getting we need to start getting some wins. Got a decent run coming up so need to turn the good play into points.

I have no doubt Ward will start tomorrow but I wonder if defence will trust him as much to give him the ball,  will also be nervousness from crowd every time he has ball plus I am sure Falkirk will try and exploit this.

Though let Falkirk worry about us and hopefully we can get a fine victory

It’s to be expected that Falkirk and every other side we face for that matter will look to pressure Ward as they will believe there is that error in him. And I don’t see us not conceding tomorrow so we need to help ourselves out by doing the business up the other end.

These are 100% the type of games that we need to be winning and make home advantage and our good play count.

Ironically I think teams being encouraged to press us theoretically helps.

If we get through the press and turned then they are exposed to danger.

Had Ward executed the pass v Celtic we would have eliminated 5 of their players who were all in a high press.

I think we struggle a bit when, like Aberdeen, there is a 'lazy press' where they're relatively high, but sitting off, so less easy to play through.

There are very few teams in Scotland  that will be able to press us as high as Celtic did and get away with it.

Thats pretty much why teams like Aberdeen, St Mirren and Hearts (second half) have backed off a bit.

I hope Falkirk do go high. We have the better players, so we will play around them.

If they sit off us, it could be a longer afternoon.

Fingers crossed we can remain error free this week as we really need to start putting some points on the board!

Has all the makings of an entertaining game!

The defence have had another 2 weeks training with Ward to repair any confidence issues. I expect they will have his back. Its what good team mates do!

The team spirit is awesome,  can't dispute that.  Ward's 25 birthday today, don't drop that cake!!!! ( just kidding Callum)

Definitely needing 3 points in this one no matter how we play

Loving this new style of football, but 3 points is a definite must to ensure we start climbing the table

1-0 win or 4-3 win I will gladly take either

Correct , this game is huge for us. We will probably get a decent crowd but I just get the feeling some of our support are just ready to jump and start bitching if we don't get a win and Id hate to see the style we've adopted being undermined by fans turning against it because we don't win tomorrow. For me we probably need 7 points from our next 3 games to keep the all the fans on the same page.

I’m not so sure, I think the majority of Well fans I know and meet are all on the same page and are all happy with how things are going. The ones who aren’t are the few who continually post anonymously on social media and fans forums, who most of the time do it for effect. Best to try and scan over their posts, have a giggle at them and move on.

personally I’m really looking forward to the games these days and when we are stuck with an international break and watching Steve Clarke’s sides, coming back to fir park is a breath of fresh air

Falkirk are a decent side who play quite good stuff but I think we’ll have a narrow win today. 2-1

Not sure the support are that twitchy just yet.

Home form tends to dictate the mood of the support and we haven't lost a game at Fir Park this season.

Of course that can change quickly if you lose a couple of, what are considered, more winnable games.

But you definitely get more time losing, or not winning attractively than the murderball stuff.

Anyway, less of the negative chat. Lets just win this playing sexy Jensball and build towards a historic Cup Win! 😍😍😍

There is definitely a big upturn in overall mood around the team and the club this season.

Obviously there has been frustration that we've not managed to win more games but the team is actually playing football and some pretty decent football at that. Compare and contrast that to the disjointed, scrappy dirge we saw under Kettlewell, Hammell and Alexander.

We do need more points on the board though.

Well the crowds have been on the up recently so something must be right but sure we do need to start winning games its as simple as that and i agree cant mind the last time i was counting down the minutes for our next game.

I shall take this process everyday of the week compared to the football Kettlewell served up its night and day.

Anyway 2-1 to the Well Stam x2(1 pen) and Arfield for Falkirk if playing.

Semi tickets purchased, hotel booked for the night cause I can't get home and am now in unusually good mood for a Saturday when I'm working. Please don't ruin my day Motherwell 🙂 Send me home smiling please with a win that doesn't have you on the edge of a breakdown during 2nd half injury time !!
