Thoroughly enjoyed that tonight for a a number of reasons.

Firstly we absolutely dominated the first half with 72% possession of the ball having made 5 (five) changes to the starting line up.

United had 1 shot on target in 45 minutes and that was the free kick which Ward dealt with comfortably.

Second half we coped well with Goodwin going man for man to try and close us down and still managed to find ways around them. We did cough up a few chances, but we made far more ourselves proving that we can actually be a very effective counter attacking team if we need to be.

We scored 2 fantastic goals, kept a clean sheet and finished strongly despite having made 5 substitutions.

All in all, a very good nights work and 3 points to keep the momentum going into Saturday.

Fingers crossed the injuries aren't serious and we have as strong a starting 11 and bench as we had tonight.

Is that from JBA? What happened to Welsh?

Slide tackle to block a shot.

Got up holding his thigh.

Hopefully just a precaution.

Wasnt mentioned in post match interviews.

Callum Ward looked solid. Played well. Passing good and he elected to kick long at times when under pressure

Speaking of kicking, I hope we have a better ref

for the semi than the one tonight. Utd just kicked lumps out of us from start to finish and it didn’t seem to bother the ref.

Thought Callum Hendry did well too. Unlucky not to score. Won a few free kicks and first touch was good.

Looked slow n unfit to me.

As someone who has defended Stama on here quite considerably, I felt the drop off after Hendry went off was quite significant.

Not sure what was wrong with Stama tonight, but he was second to every ball and ended up going off injured.

Beginning to suspect he is made of glass......

Beating Dundee United will never not be enjoyable no matter who their manager is. A more arrogant support you’d struggle to find outwith Celtic and Aberdeen.

Don't know about being arrogant but they do love a good boo, and have done for years. .

Apart from 15/20 mins in second half we dominated the game, played some nice stuff again and at times when required went long rather than risk it. I thought there was more variation in our game tonight. Scored two really good goals . Manwanhise should have had another and Hendry was unlucky to be cleared off the line. Not a bad attendance considering a midweek game and fans forking out alot of money last weekend and next.

A thoroughly deserved victory tonight against less than ideal opponents and an invaluable 3 points. We played very well in spells but looked vulnerable down our right side in the second half. Watt's goal was an absolute peach. United played a physical game just as I thought they would an despite 21 fouls being awarded against them wer elucky to have a lenient ref. Highlight/lowlight of that was the United player being told to go back at throw ins twice and still ignore the ref. Why no yellow card?

A good midweek crowd too.

Only concerns from me were possible injuries but glad to hear that JBA is not "overly concerned".  Some looked more precautionary i.e Welsh.

Pretty much how I saw it.  Koutrombis worries me for the final, he has no pace and gets skinned too often for my liking.

thought we mixed the play up far more tonight. Said's dribbling is just unbelievable.

Agree that he’s top class but he needs to be more aware of his options, at one point he beat 3 of their players, Stam started a run only for Said to double back to try and beat the united players again, a through ball was the better option. It’s the one thing I find infuriating about him.

He finished the game and seemed to be running fine in the last few mins.
