Does anyone remember the 25th of Oct, half time, when we were 1-0 down to livi ??

There was relegation chat and 'does the manager have a clue' chat.

Things have changed a bit 😉

Given the wholesale changes about everything we do, i'd have been happy with a consolidation season to develop the new style and let the players get used to it, weed out the ones who weren't going to cut it and maybe get a couple in, with a view to being a well developed side next season. To be fair, I think it's coming together really well, and the football tonight was just brilliant at times. We've shown periods of what we can do, but tonight we were great. Don't forget we were already playing well before the pen and the sending off. Everyone was proper 'on it' tonight and the players who came in were clearly up for giving the manager a selection headache.

Thanks for that might be a bigger crowd on Saturday

Hearts bringing 4.800 apparently, so should be a great crowd.

And 3pm kick off on a Saturday.

What a time to be alive!

Well that was a surprising line up. But you know I didn't even concern myself with it . That's how much belief I have in the managers tactics and reading of the opposition and his team selection.  That's us now played everyone and no one has been better than us over the 90 mins of any of the league games. We should fear absolutely no one. Tonight was a sheer pleasure to watch, what a game Priestman had. I would like the job of picking from that squad these days. Also a big shout out to Koutroumbis for that quite incredible interception to prevent Hibs getting on back. Had a fiver on us to win 3-0 but cashed out at £18. The cash out got to £28 but fell like a stone from 70th minute.

That's the most controlled Motherwell performance I've ever seen to a man they were all excellent and other than the 1 Koutrombis cleared off the line they barley created a chance.

Preistman and Welsh were the standouts for me. Welsh probably the best CB we've had since Kipre and Preistman looked like he'd been starting in there all season. The teams gave Jens some selection headaches ahead of Hearts on Saturday that's for sure.

Best Motherwell performance i've ever seen, total control against a Hibs team that are expected to be in the top 4 WOW take a bow. Changes selection and formation this team couldn't make 2 passes last year its a joy going to the games now.

JBA has impressed from day one but tonight was further evidence that we have someone special on our hands. Changing shape to combat Hibs threat whilst integrating 5 changes couldn’t have been envisaged by anyone. For the players, some of whom have barely featured, to then look so comfortable in their roles is testament to the work on the training pitch and the clear instruction provided by the manager.

Three wins in one week is a lot to ask for and Hearts will be much stiffer opposition than the version of Hibs that turned up tonight. However, we should be confident of beating anyone with the quality and intelligence we have at our disposal.

I now have an idea what it was.

A bold move on the part of JBA. glad it payed off for him and us. In hindsight it really doesn’t look like much of a gamble. It would appear we have a squad who can maintain the team performance level regardless of who’s on the park. Happy days.

Must admit I did raise an eyebrow last night when I saw the team selection. But I neednt have worried.

One of the most complete performances Ive ever seen from a Motherwell side.

The players all now look so comfortable with what they are doing that there is a calmness about their play, and thats being transmitted to the stands.

We are passing in areas that would have had us tearing our hair out at the start if the season, and its now just "normal" for us.

Thats some transformation by the manager and players in such a short space of time.

My only complaint about last night is we didnt put St Mirren to the sword and score 2 or 3 more and get 3rd spot outright. But thats just me being nitpicky.

Although it looked like we were trying to score the perfect goal, second half,  and turned down loads of opportunities to throw it in the box, it did mean we starved Hibs of any opportunity to catch us on the counter, probably something the manager has driven home after some of our early season collapses.

Loved listening ro the manager talk about his change of tactics and thought processes last night, although, I might not have namechecked big Hanley! It doss show a higher level of tactical thinking than maybe we have been used to.

Slightly concerned with no Stama on the bench last night. I hope it was just a matter of giving him the night off with a view to Hearts on Saturday. Another injury would be a bit annoying.

Overall, very satisfying. Having rotated so heavily last night we should have plenty fresh legs for an entirely different challenge on Saturday.

Life is good!
