I'm voting for Said today. Even though he was only a sub, I thought his introduction helped boost the energy and tempo we needed in the second half.

Tough pick today, nobody was outstanding or particularly poor. In the end I went with Fadinger, didn't waste a ball and some of his tackling was outstanding.

McGinn and Welsh strolled the game. Plenty of effort from Watt and Fadinger in the middle. Slattery and Just tried hard to create but alot of hit and miss. 

Said was what we needed at that time. Drive and energy. 

Slattery for the goal gets my vote.

Very difficult but Welsh was outstanding in defence  and looks so comfortable with the ball at his feet.

Stephen Welsh is the best defender we've had at the club for ages.

And he had a bandage round his head like an olden days centre back.

Thought the entire team were off it for the first 20 minutes with Watt and Slattery the most wasteful with the ball.

Over the 90 minutes I thought Welsh, Fadinger and Just were our best players with an honourable mention for Said.

Went for Just for his workrate and the fact he never stops trying to create. His run to get to the byline, tackling their defender and coming up with the ball to cross it into the middle was fantastic and typified his performance.

Top class footballer.

Celtic already have 3 left footed center backs. Its in their interest he stays with us to try and get points off Hearts and Rangers.

Elijah Just for me due to the power of work he got through - if only he had a bit of conviction with his shooting. 

I do love Welsh and believe that he should be in the conversation for the World Cup.

Just kept going throughout whole game so perhaps a bit unfair to vote for Said but he made a huge impact when he came on.  Likewise Sparrow for the nullified JK.   Mentions, as now seems always, to McGinn and Welsh 👏

Six games without conceding a goal equals 540 minutes, the last goal was at Rugby park just after half time, if you add in all the additional time it must be 10 hours since Ward was beaten yet he hardly raises a blip in these polls. Given that we seem to have a rolling line up in front of him, I think we can safely say that JBA has a bit of an idea what he is doing.

Fadinger. A really important player for our system. Constantly winning the ball back, looking for passes, and hauling us up the park when needed. That said, several other players were good today.

It was definitely between him and Welsh first half. Really like what he does. Even second half when they brought Priestman on and pushed him forward into Slatterys position, he was really effective. Thought Just's second half performance just edged it, but aye Fadinger is never less than a 7/10 and most weeks he is better than that.

You're right about Ward, he is looking a lot more solid these days. Having said that, it is obvious to me that our defence are not leaking many opportunities to the other team, so Ward hasn't actually had much to do. I can recall two good saves in the past month and a lot of him with the ball at his feet but not much else!

That's the key though. When we are conceding, goalies often take the blame. Sometimes deserved, sometimes not.

Defence, however, needs a team effort from front to back with the keeper being the last resort. Much better to prevent shots on target before he is needed.

What little he has had to do, he has done well and has contributed ton the run of 6 clean sheets.
