grizzlyg
Luca Ross away to Alloa for rest of season, good luck Luca, hopefully plenty of game time
mio
Totally sensible move to get Luca game time, hopefully he’ll do really well for them and get a positive permanent move to a championship side. I’d hope Willy will get a move soon too, to help his development.
Kmcalpin
We signed some decent players over the summer, but maybe a bit unbalanced in some respects e.g. age and lack of leadership. I'm all for signing "projects", but does anyone else think we've overdone that a bit? Typically they might take a year or two to come good. Can AJ get the best out of them?

I was surprised to hear AJ raise concerns about the age profile of the squad at the recent Well society Q&A. Given the volume of incomings, I had assumed that the preference of Daws & AJ was to go exclusively for 25 and under.
Kmcalpin
We're currently struggling to score goals and I think a major reason for that is our recruitment of strikers, which has been less than impressive even under JBA. Maybe its related to the way we play. Hendry, a permacrock, has never been a goalscorer, more of a facilitator. Thor looks to be the same type of player although he's never had a run of games. Palmer-Houlden again looks to be a facilitator rather than a goalscorer. Now this type of player is fine if you have others able to score from deeper positions but we currently don't. JT was scoring for fun early last season and covered up the cracks, but his goals have dried up. Now, you could justifiably attribute some of our goalscoring problems and form of our strikers down to lack of support from midfield and you'd be right. In fairness, goalscorers are hard to find and don't come cheap, but right now we don't even seem to have a 10 goal a season striker. A big questionmark hovers over our striker recruitment policy.

I dont think its too much of a problem if you get your midfield forward and support your facilitator. Last season we had JT, Just, Slattery and even Manny weighing in with goals. I think its something we have struggled to balance this season. I think Kanga on the left doubling up with Manny looks promising. But 30 minutes is a small sample size. Said started well, but has faded again. Lowry has picked up a few, but is now injured. I think there are goals in the team if Alfred can get it functioning properly. But, aye a proper goalscorer would be nice. Where to find one on our budget is another matter.

The only one who consistently convinces is Lowry.

Im only using the word that the previous poster used. I guess it just means a big guy who will take it in, help get you up the park and/or provide lay offs for others to score the goals. But thats a bit wordy.
