SteelmaninOZ
After our Euro game can we make it 2 league games in a row? COYW
joewarkfanclub
Everything will depend on how we come thru' the european tie. As long as we dont get hammered, put in a decent performance and come back with no more injuries, Id be fairly confident of 3 points here. Falkirk look nowhere near the side they were last year and McGlynn is cutting a bit of a forlorn figure on the sidelines. Wont be easy, it rarely is in the SPFL, but we owe them for last season. Be nice to collect 3 points and make a statement.
weeyin
Time to beat the jinx, but with a potentially tough game in Finland I'll be happy not to lose. Hopefully we'll have another addition or two in the squad by then.
MJC
1-2 loss as our Falkirk hoodoo continues. 1

MFCL84
We'll beat Falkirk. Their hex over us can't continue this season.
texanwellfan
I’m hoping we well and truly scud them but I’ll be happy with even the narrowest of wins. I’m really hoping we can kill the game early and give the likes of Oscar and Faddy a bit of a break.
Ya Bezzer!
Falkirk have struggled this season. I wouldn't write them off just yet but their only wins have been against Edinburgh City and Stranraer and they have lost to Ayr Utd and St Mirren. On a free week I'd be confident we'd beat them but with extra games and travel, as well as injuries, it makes it a bit harder. Still think we should be getting at least a point out the game although at the moment you are kinda wondering what kind of team we will put out when each game rolls round. texanwellfan
Right! Let’s get rid of this Jinx and then see who we have ready for Thursday night.
grizzlyg
I said it before tonight but with a few coming off injured i think we start a few youngsters and also JKB. yes league is bread and butter but next Thurs is massive and we need our best fit xi out on pitch. Mind you said will be available plus Johnny K back
weeyin
It was interesting listening to Halliday recently pointing out the differences in Alfred's approach compared to JBA while, as he said, "keeping the DNA". Specifically, he mentioned that JBA loved to overload a side of the pitch, while Alfred seems to prefer wide players hugging the touchlines. I'm already onboard with Alfred, but if he manages to win this one I'm ready to give up my possessions and join the cult. He's already calling Falkirk our nemesis, so he knows the score. Also, as pundits go, I enjoy listening to Halliday as he obviously loves his tactics.
Big Stall
Any win please. Keep the momentum up going into Thursday. Am i right in thinking win on Thursday & guaranteed > £1m? Massive game!
Happyhonest
Anyone else likely to be back from injury? if not then need to manage minutes. Would take a draw and no injuries. Hope there was nothing lasting from last night injury-wise Some interesting decisions for the boss. With Johnny back what does he do with Sparrow who has the captains arm band? That might depend on how Lowry is. If he is injured then a 4-3-3 with sparrow into midfield? If we have a rested Said does he rest Vogt? Maybe an opportunity to give Knight - Lebel some gametime? That alone could freshen things up. A suggestion that Lowry went off with cramp but no idea about RCC. I wouldn't expect to see Williams on Sunday. Does anyone know whats wrong with Thor? He picked up an injury late last season and I had the impression that it was relatively "minor" but then got injured a few weeks ago. Is it connected? From AJ's comments I expected him to appear on the bench by now. Falkirk will be a tough nut to crack and last season they continually benefitted from that invaluable quality - good fortune. We'll see if their luck holds on Sunday.
stv
Hopefully if TJ gets on he will toughen up a bit and not fall over at every wee shove and nudge .

He’s done his fair share of covering, closing down and chasing so no complaints about his off the ball work rate. Hopefully we will get to see a Lot more of his on the ball skills m

I was yelling at the TV for him to stop doing that but at the very least he needs to drag his arse back up off the ground a lot quicker and get back in the game instead of laying there.
texanwellfan Posted yesterday at 04:45 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 04:45 PM I’m getting greedy. Would like a straightforward 2 or 3 goal win and no injuries. however I’ll take not getting beat, with no injuries. juat hope the players minds are focused on this game and not looking ahead to Thursday. They can start that at 5pm on Sunday.
wellfan Posted yesterday at 07:39 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 07:39 PM I doubt Falkirk will be our ‘nemesis’ again this season. We should absolutely be giving them a doing tomorrow.
joewarkfanclub Posted yesterday at 07:45 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 07:45 PM Said will be champing at the bit having had to cool his heels all week. Kmcalpin Posted yesterday at 09:18 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 09:18 PM Williams out. However, RCC & Lowry may make it. Said back and Thor pushing for a place (on bench?)
grizzlyg Posted yesterday at 09:38 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 09:38 PM We owe this mob one so hoping for another AJ inspired win. No idea what line-up will be, don't want any injuries ahead of thursday. COYW
Happyhonest
No one knew. So don’t really have the squad to change much. Few back though so think it will be Paulson johnny -girdwood - Moorman- longelo would keep the two centre backs together for familiarity but look to bring on knight to give one of them a rest fadinger and priestman with sparrow and whyte as replacements cook Lowry and said with Vogt getting a rest for Thursday taking it Lowry is ok and maswanhise up front Whyte Ross and booth still look like we could do with a few more in but good that we are starting to get a few back from injury
wellsince75
Today is a good time to mix it up and give guys like Whyte, Knight-Lebel & Booth game time. Be interesting to see if some players get a rested for first half, Longelo, Fadinger, RCC for example together with JK could perhaps benefit from no more than 50-60 mins on the pitch. Given the injuries, short pre-season and glut of games the 'loading' must be a factor.

The players are well paid professional athletes only 5 or 6 games into a season so playing two games of football in a week should not be an issue for them. The strongest available team should be fielded at all times, maybe after we have played 5 or 6 group stage games we can rest a few but not now.
