In both game until sending offs score would have been alot closer had it not been for two sending offs. Not saying we'd have gone through but until then in both games we were doing OK. Nowt to be down about. The only black spot so far was Stenhousemuir.

Well done lads, so proud and yet again game turned on a red card..   very encouraging signs under this squad and AJ who looks ro be a great replacement.

The flares before game beggar belief but that's for another time.

Well beaten by a far superior side over both legs. The only concern is the (potential) injury to Longelo which we could really do without.

We can now concentrate on games that really matter.

When you look back at it, despite them being a class or two above us, they never 'beat' us when it was 11 v 11. Took the sending offs in both games to put them ahead. That was the toughest of tough draws, and for an hour in both games, we acquitted ourselves quite well.

I think Hearts, Celtic and Rangers all had easier draws, but at least we went out to a good team.

A win on Sunday will keep things on track.

Agree with first part but I don't think you can say game didnt matter.  These games are what we want to be involved in

So, a question that I can't find a definitive answer too. Is Girdwood reich's suspension served in euro competitions or on Sunday ?

Before kick off I would have taken anything better than 5-0. We accomplished that and with 10 men for half an hour.

Can’t agree with that, it’s a level way beyond our reach. Obviously it’s good for the club and it’s a big bonus and reward for our excellent campaign last year, but our level is the domestic game.

Article 63 of the UEFA Conference League Rules:

As a rule, a player or team official sent off by the referee is automatically suspended for the next match in a UEFA club competition (i.e. UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, UEFA Conference League or UEFA Super Cup). In the event of a serious offence, the UEFA disciplinary bodies are entitled to augment this punishment, including by extending it to other competitions.

 A decent effort, but the reds killed us.

TBH not sure if squad is equipped for league and Euro group phase at the moment, so a good experience and maybe push on next year.

The most competent team we'll face this season.

Was a pretty harsh draw for the competition we were in.

It was 2-2 on goals from open play.

On the plus side being in Europe may hamper Hearts, Celtic and Hibs(?) in the Scottish league

and aside from that I think it has been a good comparison for us to gage where we are as a football team and I’d say it confirms we are heading in the right direction.

Beaten by the superior team over the two legs. However, our inability to (a) prevent crosses into the box and (b) defend those crosses is a massive concern. 

But oh well, back to the League Cup and the glamour of domestic football…

So basically we don't aim for european football then?  We made great money and fans making great memories.    I would love to do an away trip.

It is what is is we didnt embarrass ourselves the exact opposite.Add a face or two to a pretty decent squad now and we shall be in European football again next season.

Europe will always be a bonus nothing more.  We should always strive to qualify because that means good domestic form. However its not something the club will bank on.
