  1. Past hour
  2. The average NIMBY would swear the sky is green just because they can.
  3. I admire the optimism, but I suspect you’re very much in the minority on this one. Two things can be true at once: the football may have improved, but the officiating has clearly worsened.
  4. Today
  5. The BBC have picked this up, unfortunately using our kit from three years ago for their team formation graphic.
  6. We've had it for 5 years now, I think it's as good as it's going to get on that front.
  7. In 2018 West Ham fined £100,000 for 1 fan on pitch, so going by that both uglies to be fined £5 n a bottle of Bru and a slap n tickle dont do it again.
  8. Improve with time, aye ok then its the SFA we are talking about here. They implemented the poundshop version of VAR, not enough cameras to cover all the angles required, which is why we got shafted with no pen in the Falkirk game, Gordons red card st Aberdeen, looked like the camera was on an oil rig. Whe you add the incompetence of the operators, who dont seem to be aquainted with the laws of the game, i refer to the Hearts pen at Tynecastle last week you get a perfect shit show that will never improve as the SFA think they are gods gift to football and can do no wrong. It needs binned ASAP its ruining the game not improving it as it was intended to do..
  9. I would argue poor officiating and delays due to VAR are vastly outweighed by the team's improved performance. A signficant increase in bodies through the gates would suggest the majority agree with me. In any case, a majority seem to get off on the controversy, shouting at referees and the like, so ultimately they are happier when they've got more to moan about. RE VAR - it's here to stay and I'm sure the standard of intervention will improve with time.
  10. Given Michael Stewart has been banned for hurty words, I don’t expect them to ban Celtic and Rangers fans for actual violence and vandalism. That’s the reality of Scottish football.
  11. I'd have been much more surprised if the authorities had done something meaningful and decisive but they will never penalise the OF by a points deduction, especially when (for once) this title race is so close. Their "reaction" to this riot, the banning outspoken journalists and the dreadful refereeing decisions this season show the state of our game is, as the Yanks say, SNAFU.
  12. It might have been different if a Scottish Government minister put pressure on them as happened with the use of pyros.
  13. Nothing to see here. Sweep, sweep.
  14. Has there been anything similar happened in England or mainland Europe? Just wondering how similar situations have been handled elsewhere and how quick or what form of punishment has been dealt out.
  15. Yesterday
  16. Good post. I don't agree with everything he says but I do so more often than not and I like listening to his honest opinions. It seems the SFA doesn't. As with society in general you will never learn anything by refusing to let others with a different opinion or perspective speak. You simply end up in an imploding echo chamber. I never have been impressed with the SFA but its very sad and unacceptable that they have taken this view. What next? Will they ban everyone who has ever criticised a referee. Whether they like it or not, refereeing standards are currently very poor and thats also down to the system not just the odd individual matchday official. They really do need to open themselves up and take on board comments, if they want to improve. Finally, they really ought to recognise the importance of the paying punter.
  17. Scottish Football as it has been for decades .Why are you surprised . The whole thing is corrupt ,when it comes to the two arse cheeks. Anything that may upset them , the press and affect television income is totally bias towards them. Allegedly. Prepare for it to be put down to hi jinks and no meaningful punishment.. dished out. Scottish Cup game so no league punishment as in points deductions ,or any action will be taken that could jeopardise one of them not winning the league. At least until after season is finished.
  18. Seeing as we are playing the blue uglies next is anybody as confused as me surrounding the complete silence from the SFA/SPFL about the disgraceful scenes back in March between the uglies? If a diddy (any team bar the uglies) team’s fans do anything within a week a fine or sanction is dished out. Yet here we are month n half later still waiting for any action on a pitch invasion, assaults, injuries, flares, vandalism and organised thuggery which should id imagine result in large points deductions, or am I on a conspiracy theory that that might prevent the chances of both the uglies winning the league and it might be best to just wait to the close season when the league is won, Europe gained and then issue the obligatory £5 fine? What do you guys think?
  19. Absolutely outstanding to see this 👏
  20. Clarke's tactics would destroy every bit of football in our players.
  21. Only one objection to the plans.
  22. We do badly need cover at left back...
  23. I’d much rather listen to Michael Stewart than the likes of Chris Sutton and Kris Boyd. The latter two are critically illiterate, offering nothing of value to anyone other than Celtic and Rangers.
  24. He is paid to be straight talking and a little bit controversial. But tbf its his personality anyway, so he embraces it! I dont have any issues with it. Better tham the usual OF arse kissers.
  25. I think Michael Stewart is one of the more decent and fair minded pundits I think it is a completly poor show by the SFA
  26. Looks like footballers in The Premiership may have better judgement than Mr Clarke..... Of course, Callum Ward has been helped by our possession stranglehold, since he's not the greatest GK in the league, but his distribution has been important.
  27. Great achievement, could possibly have had Welsh in ahead of Super Paul McGinn and not sure about Ward but mind you no other keeper springs to mind
