  1. Past hour
  2. Will there be hydration breaks tonight and about a dozen clips of David Beckham sitting in the stand! 🤣 Looking forward to it tonight
  3. A great wee film: thanks! Fifteen league titles for us (half of City Clubs Hearts' and Aberdeen's totals) sounds about right and much better than our real solitary one. I wish the OF would bugger off to England but the English would never want the toxicity they bring. In any case, I feel The Uglies' crowds would dwindle ablaw the dyke once they find their level, probably a yo-yo Championship one with no help from duff refereeing. Conversely, the remaining Scottish SPL clubs might well increase their attendances because there would be real competition for the title and the overall fan experience would be better without the intimidatory sectarianism the two Glasgow clubs bring.
  4. Today
  5. True, but they are another club recently acquired by American owners with shares in multiple clubs and a penchant for data driven management. So they have a few more quid to spend than in previous years. Having said that, I agree a fee of sub 100k is quite likely. Freeing up Ox's wages without having to buy out his contract is a good situation for both parties, and receiving a fee makes it a good deal.
  6. Dunfermline cant afford that kind of money, they lost just under £2 million in their last accounts to May 2025 and are borderline broke. I reckon it will be sub £100,000
  7. Parts of the O'Donnell won't be available apparently, while the new seats are still being installed. So I think they've maybe blocked out some areas to relocate people.
  8. Said must be raging they were all eating his meal 🤪🤪
  9. West Ham would be a great move for him. Fans would love him
  10. Good big keeper, we’ve had so many worse than him who were our No1s. Good luck to him. Just hope Paulsen is the business. Looking forward to see a few newbies tonight.
  11. Best thing for all parties that ox moved on and we will have got a decent wage off the books, good luck too him.
  12. For the sake of argument lets say the Ox was on £2K per week. If the Pars bought out his contract you'd be looking at £400K. I'm not saying we got anywhere near that sum but its likely we cut our losses to reduce our wage bill, and showed Dunfermline some generosity by giving them a bargain.
  13. They would no doubt have received a decent wedge of cash for getting to the Scottish cup final, in gate receipts, prize money etc
  14. Fee would certainly help cover a couple of signing on fees for new guys, I'd imagine, which will help balance books a bit...
  15. The Record today sill reporting "Samsunspor are confident of sealing a £1.7 million move for Elliot Watt over the coming days." - so nothing official to report at this point. It's a sad day when you can't believe 12 year olds on Twitter. (Of course he will likely be leaving us, but like most of our deals the details will not be posted on Facebook).
  16. There is a reason there were no Scottish referees at the world cup, ie all of them are feckin brutal and not up to the standard required, can you imagine the sight of Collum or Beaton mic'ed up tyring to explain a VAR call 😂
  17. Ox's move to East End Park has been in the offing for some weeks now. It was certainly held up by Ward's departure to QPR and perhaps by AJ's arrival. Quite rightly we wanted to hang onto him until a replacement, Paulsen, was brought in. Leaks from the Dunfermline end not ours. Given Ox had 2 years left on his contract I would expect a tidy fee, but not earthshattering. Dunfermline seem awash with cash.
  18. Just going into buy my tickets for the Havnor game and only the DC stand has tickets left?????
  19. I'm not seeing it anywhere official (or unofficial for that matter)
  20. Likewise. Unfortunate for him that we changed a style that didn't suit, but he was a good fit at Dunfermline and the fans liked him too. Did better than us in the cup, too.
  21. This is fun no Celtic no Rangers
  22. Apparently West Ham are in the mix too ps this is, at the very least, 4th hand news so Chinese whispers may be in play
  23. Agreed. It has been nice to see the refs in the WC trying to make the game flow as much as possible. It has highlighted just how pedantic the Scottish referees are. It has been quite notably just how much of a difference there is been the top referees in the World and their Scottish peers.
  24. That’s a good move for Ox. He was never going to get a sniff here again, so I’m genuinely pleased for him.
  25. I actually thought in wc , the refereeing was not bad and they didn't use var unnecessarily. Maybe in Morocco game for us, we could've done with it but were any of the " clear and obvious " errors? Diving seemed to be clamped down on ...Bellingham, kane and Gordon still seemed to buy a few. Scottish refs will be back to feckin it up , they dont have the balls to go against the of. Can you imagine the celtic pen being given in wc or any other country? Unfortunately we aren't going to get anywhere i fear, sfa are doubling down on decisions.
  26. Aston also away Aston Oxborough joins Dunfermline Athletic - Motherwell Football Club
  27. I would agree that Slattery deserved it if similar incidents were getting the same punishment. What is striking about the Slattery incident is that is was a punishment in isolation of other similar incidents. You can see the levels of simulation in the World Cup. As far as I am aware not one player has received a ban for it. I understand different governing body, different referees but it is the same sport and in that context Slattery's punishment was excessive.
