I'd gladly take a "Polworth + Gallagher : Sloth" success/failure ratio every window.6 points

We're going to have to play our games on an octagonal pitch to fit all these fucking wingers in....3 points

Seriously people think losing James could blow our season apart, that defies belief for me. Hes scored 3 league goals in 22 games , Im not having a go at the guy far from it I do believe he will become the real deal given a fair wind but my god youd think we were losing Messi the way some folk are going on.3 points

Frankly I cant believe some of the comments and sour faces. You'd think the loss of Scott was gonna kill our season. For fuck sake get a grip being offered £1.5 million for a guy who is very very raw and still with a lot of rough edges is too good a chance to miss. I hope James makes a success of his new role but god almighty hes not critical to us , Frankly I am more worried at the loss of Gallagher now that could derail our season. James is replaceable and frankly Robinson has more credits than debits when it comes to signings.3 points

Depends what was in the extended deal that he signed There could have been a clause where he had the option to leave if we received a bid over £1M No one bar the club the player and his agent know what was in that extended contract So your assumption that the club could just say NO may be a load of shite3 points

Its nowhere near £1.5m tho. Its LESS than Faddy, so in reality £1m with a sell on clause. Im very dissappointed in that. We could/would have got at least that in the Summer. Clubs are sniffing about Shankland for 3times as much, and he's 5 years older and has never played a game in the SPL!2 points

I'd much rather watch Scott and Turnbull on the pitch than read the balance statement. I'd also rather see us give ourselves the best chance of a cup final and a Euro spot this season than cash in too early on our young players. I don't pay my 'Well Society subs to help agents profit from my contributions, and while I totally understand there has to be compromise between finances and football, football always has to come first.2 points

Just imagine the Damage we could do with those three in the team! Makes You proud of our Wee Club when You see things like that. Those guys could have been anywhere last weekend but went back up to watch their old Club. It shows how much we can affect players, as well as being a great advert for future talent2 points

Robinson said this allows winger 5, Ndjoli, to play in his natural position of center forward, because apparently we were short of wingers today until we replaced one winger with another one.1 point

Everyone is great on YouTube. The usual “wait until we see him with our own eyes, give him a chance” caveat applies, but fuck me, my love for wingers is dying. the Humphries brigade are going to call him Ronaldo.1 point

At the figures quoted it seems to be a good deal and probably one the club can't really turn down, however its not half depressing for fans that good, young talent seems to be heading out the door after 1/2 a season if you're lucky...…...Although, granted its better than developing young players that aren't good enough and no one wants as a result, would just be good to get a couple of seasons watching them develop. I fear a slide down the table and a Scottish Cup exit if we don't sign at least one striker today....1 point

I agree that Scott's versatility is useful. But if we sell him and bring in a replacement, I'm hoping not to hear the phrase 'he can play anywhere across the front three'. Every striker we've signed this season has had that description. Would be nice to sign someone that is an out and out striker...1 point

I was hoping we would sign a central striker today and that there would be no departures but it now looks like scott will be off, let's hope there's time to get a couple in as the thought of having to over rely on seedorf and ndjoli doesn't sit to well with me.1 point

Seems its 1m in the hippy and 500k made up of appearances and other kickbacks which is far from guaranteed. Scott looks likely to massively increase his wages and I hope some of the income comes back in to increase the wages of someone like Allan Campbell who has been a mainstay, consistent and maybe feeling it seeing his peers leave for decent salary rises. I sincerely hope the 500k isn't part of a sell on clause, that should be a separate entity I hope but know nothing of contracts these days.1 point

It's only good business if we have a replacement waiting otherwise we will struggle to score goals. Securing a European spot and a continuing good cup run is worth a lot more money than hull are paying, so poor timing letting g him go now in my opinion.1 point

I hope that we have 2 strikers lined up if Scott goes south. As things stand we are a striker down. Hopefully we know what we're doing if Scott departs as we're pushing for 3rd and have a cup tie coming up.1 point

Great to see us knock back a poor bid for Scott. If he starts hitting the net regularly with the rest of his attributes he will be worth a Turnbull level fee. He just needs a bit more composure in front of goal and better players around him (Turnbull and the striker we are surely signing today).1 point

I just remember being at the head of the March wi my Dad & Wee Sister, just behind the Piper, and as we got to the Shoogly Bridge across the river to the Stadium, I stopped and looked back and it looked like there was about 10,000 there. The march mustve been 400-500m long and as wide as the street, it was glorious. And We were some of the Well contingency in the Nancy end as well. On a side note, in the ground I witnessed one of the funniest things Ive ever seen. Just after Half Time, some wee fanny was stumbling up the stairs then stood swaying around shouting to anyone that was interested "This Sans Alcohol is fuckin brilliant, am fuckin steamin!" Then a guy behind him stood up and shouted "Sans means nae Alcohol ya wee Fud so sit doon and stop yer pish". The wee guy was crestfallen1 point

An old firm angle to a story makes sense. I’ll read a story about Motherwell with or without, but your average Rangers/Celtic fan won’t, unless it’s wrapped up as a Rangers/Celtic story. Probably explains the constant reference to “Steven Gerrards Rangers” as he will attract clicks from Liverpool fans etc.1 point
