We didn't really have a functional team when Alexander arrived but he's made good choices to establish a starting XI that works. Cole was in and out under Robinson, he's started every game under Alexander. Maguire, not before time, has been brought in and given a run in the correct position. We brought in a top class goalkeeper. Roberts has performed better than Robinson's wide players. Guys like Seedorf, White, Polworth have been ditched. We are not out the woods yet but Alexander just seems like he's a more competent judge of players and knows better how a team clicks together than Robinson did. Even when Robinson did get it right it usually felt like he was forced into it or it happened by accident.3 points

8 goals is a decent return for Cole now. The question is will he stay here and be the main man for the first time in his career or try his luck in England again. (Or he could sign for Aberdeen and never score again).3 points

It may not have aged Well...but it does not mean u r wrong. I hope the decision to bench DG is not one GA will regret !3 points

For me, if Gallagher is match fit he has to play. Harsh as it may seem on Magloire who has done well in the last couple of games. It’s a similar situation to when O’Donnell came back in for Johnston despite the latter having played well. We need our best and most experienced players on the pitch given the situation we’re in.3 points

Disagree about those stating Ainsworth only played when near a contract extension. I don't questions that guys attitude at all. He was a winger that went through a variety of highs and lows and was not an "imposter"2 points

Tough call, cole deserved it but Kelly and Roberts been great January signings. And big mention to Lamie and Crawford, 2 guys who have taken loads of pelters1 point

If we'd taken 9 points off accies we'd only be 5 points behind Aberdeen. That's the difference between last season and this season really, very little. We weren't great then and we aren't shite now.1 point

And to take it further down that road Derek's missus taught me in Primary 7. Used to bring in Dumbarton programmes on a Monday morning when he was on the coaching staff there. A few rooms down the corridor was the office of the wife of Norrie Anderson who played for Ayr Utd at the time. She did not bring me Ayr Utd programmes on a Monday morning however.1 point

I would love to finish above St Mitten , cocky bastards. So a draw between them and Accies and they lose their last game before split and St Johntone win theirs, very long shot though1 point

yeah and that would be equally wrong .. a manager inherits utter pish and folk want to judge them after 5 games ... crazy.1 point

You cannot judge Wright on 4/5 games for Kilmarnock when you see the pish he inherited.1 point

I know what you mean. I’d actually describe him as a poor man’s Scott McDonald. Anyway, the result is the main thing and we’ve got that. We should be safe now barring a disaster.1 point

I never liked strikers who look pissed off when their teammates score, but he manages to look pissed off even when he scores. He's got ability, just not enough to carry off that attitude.1 point

Good on GA for sticking with the guys who ok played well last week.1 point

Ok, your opinion on his qualities, a couple of weeks ago Lamie was one of the worst players and hardly even a footballer, now he and a young guy keep out a full Scottish international and captain in a relegation fight ? Makes little sense to me but maybe they both play today, keep another clean sheet, and it’s all good.1 point

Just out of curiosity, Dave, is there a team in the league you don't consider to be stronger physically and more streetwise than Motherwell? No matter who our manager has been and who we have in our team, you always seem to feel that the opposition (no matter who they are) are cannier, stronger and steetwise. Not saying it's never the case, but it can't be the case every week surely....1 point

Hopefully going into this game with same attitude and work ethic as we showed against Hibs. Should be full of confidence. No silly mistakes, pass the ball better and we should be good for 3 points. COYW1 point

Clubs never reveal their hands when it comes to signings and contract negotiations. Agents are the biggest shysters on the face of the planet. Fans make up wild conspiracy theories based on their own prejudices. No facts were harmed in the making of this story.1 point
