  1. Two for us and one for them?

  2. It matters because of the way he left and the narrative he tried to create. I stayed with him to the end and would have been happy for his legacy to be one of a half decent Motherwell manager who eventually ran out of ideas. He changed that. No one else. For that reason, I dont want to leave him any way to justify himself. He shat it. The players are proving it now.

  6. Turns out Norway's football association is as bad as ours. The clubs lose the vote to ditch VAR thanks to the large number of lower league and amateur clubs who voted to keep it - despite the fact none of them have VAR.

  10. What a difference it makes not having an incompetent over-promoted ballon as manager. Yesterday was sensational and, without diminishing the excellent effort of the players, it was solely down to having a manager with sound tactical ability.

  11. I honestly think that SK simply ran out of ideas and it was time for him to part ways with our club. He showed no signs of being able to change things and was not getting the best out of the squad. Thats quite apart from a dearth of entertainment. From reading comments on the AGM, I suspect he was given some kind of pay off, but thats pure speculation on my part. We've now moved on and our immediate on field future is looking somewhat brighter. Long may it continue.

  14. Just watched the game again and noticeable when we won the ball from Butlands throw out we had 7 players in the Rangers half, and at the second goal 7 players again in the Rangers half , night and day from SKs tactics

  15. Early days but what a start from Michael and Ahmet. So far showing that we actually do have good players if used properly and allowed to play with freedom. We were all dreading relegation battle but now chasing Europe but we all know that could change quickly. All we ask is we play in a style we can appreciate with total effort. Job done so far and it looks like players have totally bought into it. The reaction from subs sums up our team spirit. COYW

  16. I agree, the way he handled the uncle Phil tragedy was class and I think a lot of fans forget that.

  17. He was excellent in his first period but he was still terrible for bumming up the Old Firm. Mind you I think had it not been for the tragic death of Phil O'Donnell he may have jumped ship to Hearts. He does deserve credit for the way he handled the tragic death of Phil O'Donnell.

  18. Absolutely πŸ’― , having a positive outlook in these games definitely helps Baraclough in the playoffs , Robinson in the semi final in 2017 are two examples Really liked Stuart McCall but always felt he talked down our chances before a ball was kicked , 2012 cup game was a prime example when we were top of the league , and they were dropping points against the likes of Berwick and Peterhead , to be fair to Stuart he had a good record against Celtic

  25. OR The psychological term for expecting the worst in everything is "catastrophizing"; it refers to the tendency to automatically assume the worst possible outcome in a situation, even when there's little evidence to support it.

  26. add to that he's addressed the clear and obvious weakness in midfield by beefing it up. Looking forward to the rest of the season - which is refreshing,

  27. Actually great to look forward to a game. Wimmer brought smiles back in last 2 games. Amazing what a different manager can do with same players. Players look like shackles been released and can play with freedom. COYW

  29. Absolutley superb result today. Great to build on the positive start Wimmer has had & 6 points i 4 days - yeeha! Rangers supporting mates who were there said we pressed high & they had no answer to it. Keep it up, what a change in fortunes, attitude & enjoyment. No reason to keep talking about the last guy, long live the new king

  32. Barry Ferguson is a Fud. Can't string 2 words together and lives on his past glories. Will never be a good manager in a million years. Plus my mate gave him a doing in Hamilton one night when he insulted his wife.

  33. Have to disagree. We were in total freefall with confidence shot. SK had had plenty of opportunities to change things up but either would not or could not. Those last 5 away matches were poorer than anything I can remember in years. Even the better players looked at a loss. It was that refusal to adapt that convinced me we were headed for the play off spot at best. And then it's a lottery. Just compare our approach today with our approach in the Semi Final. What Wimmer has brought out tactically and energy wise on the pitch coupled with the raised spirit in the Stands in his three matches only highlights what SK was unable to achieve. The support the fans gave the team when Dundee equalised was highlighted by both Manager and players. Early days and we need to remember that. But what a difference. The players certainly appear to appreciate the change.

  35. One of the very few times when "we've never had a better chance to beat Rangers, worst team they've had in years", and then actually did. Pleasing.

  36. Slattery for me has been back to top form and really enjoying his current role. In the Dundee game he was in their faces literally right from kick off and was at it again today. Plus he can play a bit of football too. It's also two games in a row where he hasn't been booked. And this idea Wimmer has of playing two number tens is really making a difference.

My Dad originally was a bluenose before being converted by me , but my uncle had been going to see Well since the 1950s , and my cousin since the 1980s which helped things of course Remember thinking I wish I stayed in Motherwell at that time , and eventually I did when I met my now wife , who has a family connection to Bobby Graham

  41. Me too. But I think it's time to let it go. We've moved on and like I said previously I I'll always be grateful that he kept us up for two seasons. That's it. Also. Maybe he over egged the abuse he got but he did get abuse. Possibly there were so many factors in him leaving. Being someone who was working too many hours Maybe Wimmer is just better than Ketts. I was in the pod stand for the Ross County game and some of the abuse that was shouted at Frail and the team was unreal. If folk think Kettlewell wasn't abused - I'd say otherwise
