Poorest ref I’ve seen in ages.

It was my granddaughters first game today - 3 years old and Just like me in the 60's - she was more interested in the scarf and Tammy and we went to Tim Hortons and left long before the goal we thought was never coming!

Thats my take. A poor game due in no small part to weak and inconsistent officials. County were fired up, as expected, and took a very robust, but negative, approach to the game and were fortunate not to pick up a good few yellow cards. County had plenty of pressure but didn't trouble Kelly. Our midfield seemed to be a bit off it today and lost too many 50/50 challenges. We were dangerous on the break but things just didn't run for us. KVV and Spittal were unlucky to be booked. Not sure about their penalty claim and will have to watch it on TV. I thought we too had a reasonable penalty shout in the first half - Spittal (?) dragged to the deck, but the ref wasn't interested. One thing I would say though is that players should not be allowed to surround and harass the ref at the VAR screen. Our penalty was a penalty as Baldwin moves his arm to palm the ball away. Despite the drawbacks of VAR, it did demonstrate that the ref got both of the penalty claims wrong. A flat end of season game for us but we won, held onto 7th place, and KVV scored. Some concerning injuries though. Furlong looked to have taken a bad one and Casey looked to have damaged his arm or shoulder. Hopefully I'm wrong.

People don’t realise that moult on a pay per play deal still causes mayhem from a budgeting perspective. We should have moved on years ago. Hopefully those in charge have similar thoughts

VAR was AOK as KVV done the business and we wanted full time ASAP. Be interesting to watch highlights tonight and the decisions. Still not convinced about Mandron. I would like to see Aitchison get a start as he looked decent. W8 D2 L2 for Kettlewell and lads, magic

No-one really stood out today but thought Stephen O'Donnell was solid, reliable, linked up well on on the right and filled in comfortably on the left when needed.

Thought we marginally shaded it in a very poor game. Cant comment on the Var decisions until I see them again. But we did the biz and thats all that counts. SOD had another good game.

Was impressed with Blaney and Aitchison looked fairly sharp. Apart from that it was an awful game against a team unwilling to play anything that resembles football and officiated by typically inept individuals.

Goss has had 9 bookings in the league and I don't recall him missing a match. William Collum on VAR today, very little will go under his nose prepare for long waits and an Injury time amount Alex Ferguson would be pwoud of.

Jesus suffering fuck Why don't we give Wullie Pettigrew a contract too while we're at it? I know he's drawing his pension now but class is permanent. I'll take a contract too if we're handing them out to anybody. I mean I'm pushing 40, a bit overweight these days and my footballing ability is five a side level at best, but I did score a really good goal at the Palace ground pitches a few years ago when I was wearing the 17/18 home top that Moult wore when he put Rangers to the sword at Hampden. I'll probably not offer the team much in the way of anything but neither did Moult when he was here this season so if SK wants to give me a call...I'll even bring my own boots.

I’d have Louis Moult back if some kind of deal could be built in to the contract to protect the club . I saw enough of him to be convinced in games at tynecastle and McDermott parks that even not fully fit he was class . what’s the harm in getting him in for preseason ,medical etc and take it from there . Surely that has to be worth doing as we’ll have loads of trialists in during that period and he could be properly assessed by our physios as to whether he can cope with the demands of first team football in SPFL If we don’t do it then sure as hell other teams around us will . If it doesn’t work no harm done but if it does ……… we have a player . No brainier for me to at least get him up here . Im sure a contract could be drawn up to suit both parties and after reading that herald article he’s a decent bloke and wouldn’t be hard to deal with .
