Missed the start on Everton TV so didn't catch the line-ups, but looks like most of our first team out there at the moment. Humphrey, Murphy and Law linking up well, Higdon missed a couple of half chances, Tim Howard with a couple of saves to make.
  7. More interestingly, just noticed this on MFC TV today:
  8. Unless he regained all his previous Motherwell form and a bit more, I fear that a couple of hundred extra people for a few weeks until the novelty wore off would be nearer the mark.
  9. We've never managed a full house against a European team before, even when we were 90 minutes away from the group stages... what makes you think we'll manage two this time around?
  10. Hard one to call this year, we don't really know what financial state half the clubs (including ours) will really be in come Christmas, let alone at the end of the season. So although most folk say it most years whilst probably secretly expecting a bit more, I suspect most people really will be happy with "avoid relegation and hope to do well in a cup" this year. What we manage to achieve off the field in terms of keeping the clubs coffers topped up will probably be more important than what we manage on it.
  11. Glad to hear it, although to be fair, even in the bad years it looked great at this time of year
  12. Istanbul's actually a fantastic place to visit -- just probably not so much on a fitba' trip.
  13. Neither, it would appear: http://www.wishawpress.co.uk/wishaw-sport/football/motherwell-fc/2012/07/11/injury-boost-for-motherwell-stopper-hutchinson-76495-31370785/
  14. Not massively, going by these figures: http://www.transfermarkt.com/en/fc-rapid-bucuresti/finanzen/verein_455.html

  16. To be honest, if he played through it last season like he says, sounds like he should have been getting it properly treated the moment the season was finished, rather than just going on his holidays and hoping for the best.
  17. Certainly not what I got… I just got a letter with a first class stamp on it, which actually arrived quicker than half the stuff that's sent from the UK with the right Air Mail postage on it.
  18. There's a Well Society link just below the top stories/above the league table, too, but I agree… the big "Well Society Members - Tag yourself on Facebook" box should probably just be a big "Join the Well Society Now" box now that the initial membership push is over.
  19. I agree, but at least now the folk who can't get to games because they work weekends have more ways than ever to financially support the club if they have some spare cash to do so -- not least of which is to put it the way of the Well Society. (And I really hope they eventually find a way to allow more arbitrary/voluntary donations than they do at present, in much the same way as you can top up your pension with AVCs whenever you like!)
  20. Defenders and midfielders tend to peak later in their careers than strikers, so are more likely to do well when they return later on. I know Clarky's only 26 now, but if he's talking about "finishing his career" with us five years from now, I think I'd probably pass.
  21. And the stamp they stuck on my return envelope was a frivolous waste, as I had to replace it with an Irish stamp to send it back...
  22. Working fine here. Gives a rather unhelpful error page when I enter the wrong password by mistake, though, which may be what you're seeing…?
  23. Much as I like the kit, my one minor grumble would be that it doesn't really look very petrol blue, which I always imagined to be a bit more greenish. (I don't know if it's ever been officially described as petrol blue anyway, I just kept reading folk on here saying that's what shade of blue our blue kit should be!)
