  1. There's a Well Society link just below the top stories/above the league table, too, but I agree… the big "Well Society Members - Tag yourself on Facebook" box should probably just be a big "Join the Well Society Now" box now that the initial membership push is over.
  2. I agree, but at least now the folk who can't get to games because they work weekends have more ways than ever to financially support the club if they have some spare cash to do so -- not least of which is to put it the way of the Well Society. (And I really hope they eventually find a way to allow more arbitrary/voluntary donations than they do at present, in much the same way as you can top up your pension with AVCs whenever you like!)
  3. Defenders and midfielders tend to peak later in their careers than strikers, so are more likely to do well when they return later on. I know Clarky's only 26 now, but if he's talking about "finishing his career" with us five years from now, I think I'd probably pass.
  4. And the stamp they stuck on my return envelope was a frivolous waste, as I had to replace it with an Irish stamp to send it back...
  5. Working fine here. Gives a rather unhelpful error page when I enter the wrong password by mistake, though, which may be what you're seeing…?
  6. Much as I like the kit, my one minor grumble would be that it doesn't really look very petrol blue, which I always imagined to be a bit more greenish. (I don't know if it's ever been officially described as petrol blue anyway, I just kept reading folk on here saying that's what shade of blue our blue kit should be!)

  8. Wasn't me, but you could certainly argue his initial contribution put our season back on track just when it looked like it might be wobbling a little bit.
  9. If so, I hope it works out as well for him as it did for John Sutton.
  10. Dunno, but if you're a Well Society member you should have got your promo code by now I would think. Check your junk mail folder -- that's where mine ended up, and I didn't spot it for a couple of weeks...
  11. Not much more you can say about the guy… hard to believe he joined the 'Well not long after I left uni and got my first proper job, which feels like a lifetime ago to me! Dare I say it also frees up what is probably one of our more substantial wages… wouldn't surprise me in the least if that came into his thinking too, to help us keep a decent squad together for the Champions League campaign
  12. Stephen Thompson said today that Sky weren't telling anyone what they would do should Rangers not be in the SPL, which was just making the decision more difficult for everyone.

    Pitch Invasion

I blame Rangers One of the objections to all-seater stadia was that it would send admission prices through the roof, but the Taylor Report pointed out that it only cost £6 for a seat at Ibrox, as opposed to £4 for the average terracing spot, so concluded that the difference wouldn't be "prohibitive".
  14. Or that he values his own personal safety whenever he leaves the house, opens his post, etc.
  15. I note the article once again contains that slightly scary phrase, "Once Rangers' non-participation is officially confirmed" …
  16. Oh, I've no doubt either. I'd just be that wee bit happier if I could find a quote from anybody from UEFA or SFA specifically saying that about Rangers and their (non-)involvement next season.
  17. Not sure that has actually been officially confirmed yet, no… closest I've seen is "STV understands…" http://sport.stv.tv/football/clubs/rangers/302538-rangers-will-not-get-uefa-club-licence-insist-scottish-fa/
  18. I'm sure he is in FIFA, scores almost everything with his left For the matter, every recent outfield goal/effort I can think of has been hit with his left, including his famous overhead kick. But you're quite right, he does take pens with his right. Being good with both feet just makes him an even better asset.
  19. He did indeed and it was a classy finish, although being left footed and coming in at it from the right, that was the natural shot that was on for him anyway. The goalie did look a bit daft diving the other way, though, can only assume he was a bit unsighted and just had to guess!
  20. Sutton got 17 last year, according to Soccerbase.
  21. It was indeed, retiring due to a knee injury. On the other hand, he's also the guy who gave Steven Anderson two yellow cards in 10 minutes without sending him off
  22. Impressive stats from us tonight, under the circumstances -- 59% possession, and 5 shots on target to their 3. Just the sort of game we'll need to play in Europe
  23. *If* Rangers do the business for us tomorrow, I have a wee feeling we could actually go there and win by a couple of goals. If we need a result, I fear the usual.
