Definitely looks like some kind of excavation going on in the RHS of the park and what looks like a roadway of some kind running behind the goals Ive got more programmes from around the same era so will have a look to see if there’s any more info or pictures. Think it was 1993 ? the stand was opened so unlikely to be foundation work.

Can’t remember for definite but that picture was on the front of a programme v Hamilton Accies on Wed 2nd January 1985. Maybe I’m wrongly assuming the big mound of earth at the back is the start of building works as the toilet block that used to sit at the top of the hill is gone. Anyways brings back memories of the old terracing.

Its ok guys theyre going to be dishing out these to everyone going into the ground. Available in claret and amber or red and white
-
Pigs might also have a better chance of scoring That's based on what I’ve seen at the reserves and not what I’ve read
-
Davie apparently down seeing his Consultant in the Fortius Clinic today to get the final clearance to resume playing.
-
The Accies keeper took even longer to launch one from a free kick for offside in the 2nd half
-
YThe fact that the pie stalls were closed 10 mins into the 2nd half with loads of stuff left says it all about what our fans think of the way Accies treat us. I hope they lost a fuckin fortune today. How they survive on the gates they get is a mystery to me.

Donnelly impressing at centre half didn't surprise me in the slightest. Seen him playing there for the reserves on a few occasions and he’s always looked comfortable.

Thought the atmosphere in the Motherwell end was brilliant that night As for the rest of the ground that was non existent

When you’ve got wingers that can’t tackle or give up the ghost when they lose the ball and full backs that constantly get caught out of position our flanks are horribly exposed. For me that’s where one of the main problems lies.
-
The only thing that worried me today was the amount of times their wide players got the ball with our full backs nowhere near them.

I’ve long thought that the compliance procedure should be taken out of the hands of the SFA because of this bias. Get someone from the English FA or similar to review any incidents and pay them for an unbiased view instead of employing someone full time at Hampden who shits himself anytime Rangers or Celtic are involved because of the flak he’ll get from the media.

Funnily enough Off the ball yesterday had an agent (can’t remember who)on and he was asked if Turnbulls agent should advise him to sign a contract extension when it surely wouldn’t be in the agents best interests and make it harder to get him a move. His reply was that having a longer contract will push the players resale value up and makes the agent more commission as most are on a % of the transfer fee Never thought of it in that context before as I always assumed the less a club had to pay in transfer fees the more the agent would get.

I would settle for a big physical front man who can actually hold the ball up. He doesn’t even have to score 20 goals a season.
-
And we’re not very streetwise at times either
-
Let’s just say I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt that it was just an off day
-
Probably still trying to find his way out of Broadwood after his performance for the reserves on Monday
-
We were so bad we didn’t even deserve a defeat
-
Probably still looking for it in his satnav
-
Aberdeen trying to offload Curtis Main to St Johnstone as a makeweight to get Matty Kennedy this window. Think he’s burnt his bridges here though
-
Donnelly does give us that physical presence in midfield and you always expect him to win any 50/50 tackle which must give the other players a boost and you could sense that when he came on last night because at that point Dundee were really in the game,
-
Feck me the Dundee fans weren’t kiddin when they said there wasn’t a lot of interest up here in the game

1040 as at 2pm yesterday when I was in the ticket office.
