That's why Scottish football needs VAR to be implemented, then for situations like Saturday it can be looked at by another referee or how many there are in the VAR booth. Then hopefully the very poor refereeing we see week in week out in Scotland will improve, and the likes of Madden, Dallas and Collum etc would finally be in some way answerable for their dodgy decisions.

The incidents with Aberdeen and Celtic earlier in the season, and the latest Celtic one today are totally irrelevant to the St Mirren and Killie games as none of them resulted in matches being postponed. Yes Aberdeen and Celtic obviously broke the covid protocols at some point, so deserve to be sanctioned, but not to the same extent as killie and StM. Those breaches of protocols resulted in games being postponed, inconvenience to us and Hamilton as what was proved to be and admitted by both clubs, a blatant disregard for the rules, so in those cases the 3-0 forfeit was warranted, as both clubs could have played but chose not to. Its their right to appeal but the SPFL /SFA should chase them, but given the governance of the game in Scotland is a shambles they will no doubt reverse the decision and reschedule the games. Which sends the message to the league, ignore the protocols, spread covid, and don't bother fulfilling your fixtures, as nothing will happen the game will be rescheduled so you get away with it. It's a total embarrassment how long this has dragged on for.

I expect the premiership and championship will be next, if things don't improve

Lunchtime news reporting 16 celtic players and staff now self isolating
-
Given the gov announcement today technically none of the players who went to Dubai are eligible for the game tonight as they should be isolating, but as they probably have 13 registered players who never went they should be made to play. But back in the real world feck all will happen as it involves the ugly sisters. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-55615170 Ignore the above, apparently elite sports stars are exempt from the quarantine rules

That's our main problem though, we defend too deep and the midfield don't get forward to support whoever is up top, so inevitably the ball comes straight back at the defence. We saw it in the last game, held out for over 70 mins but eventually caved in. I hope GA sorts this as a priority so if we are sitting in and being hard to beat we have an outball allowing us to get forward,

Never a pen , a feckin disgraceful decision, no contact by any Motherwell player, Erwin should have been booked for diving. As for "don't blame the ref" why not, he's in charge no where near play, the linesman is even further away, so even if madden gets a call from the assistant, can he be 100% sure and award it, I think not. Simple fact is Madden and the linesman made a rip roaring James hunt of it, but he's in charge so he takes the full blame, sooner we get VAR the better.

Sadly I can only see 1 result in this one, the form Rangers are in ,they will get their mandatory penalty, Mugabi will probably be involved in its award., I hope we keep the scoreline respectable but it will be another defeat I think.
-
And both of them were well beaten,
-
I see GA is up at Pittodrie this afternoon watching our next opponents , how to get a league victory against Rangers after failing for over 18 years, a nice easy one for him then.
-
Or maybe they are just not that funny
-
That's not a recent problem we have been crap at seeing games out for a few years now, as you say defending too deep, our game management is shocking, hopefully GA can improve that aspect soon.
-
He was not in the squad for their 2nd round cup win against Queens Park on Friday night, so I suspect he's not doing that well.
-
And the relevance to who we get in the 3rd round draw is ?
-
As I said earlier if we play well today with the same players, SR had obviously lost the dressing room, but long may it continue.
-
Shaun Hutchinson scoring the winner for Millwall in the FA Cup today,, he's been there a few years now.
-
Let's be honest, apart from Kelly there will be no new faces playing today, and GA will be relying on Lasley and Ross in the team selection, so we either put in a great performance ( tells me SR lost the dressing room) or its more of the same from recent weeks (we really do have too much dross in the team) and contrary to GA's initial assessment major surgery is required. The next few games will be interesting vuewing
-
He said he knew Ross and that for now him and Lasley will be getting him up to speed re the players etc. But going forward what role if any will Ross have, GA brought in Lucketti, lasley will be reserve team boss, what will Ross do ? For me he will be gone at the end of the season.
-
Is this another exclusive or has your twitter feed just refreshed?
-
Listening to that interview, seems the deal was done a few days ago as he has looked at the squad and consulted with SR, so the club obviously knew who they wanted.
-
Thats Alexander confirmed on the official club twitter feed now, the climb up the league starts now.
-
Confirmed on every major news platform Dave apart from the official club media, Donald Trump would be tweeting it if his account was not blocked
-
Congratulations you've beaten Yodo to post the 1st negative comment, before the official announcement as well, impressive stuff,
-
Hearing chat that Alexander is bringing in his own assistant, with Lasley becoming reserve team manager, Mo Ross will be leaving the club. So if true we are getting a fresh approach after all, onwards and upwards.
-
Done deal for Alexander according to the daily rancid https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/local-sport/motherwell-set-appoint-graham-alexander-23275930.amp
